Thin walls. Terribly loud. Bathroom in need of work. Poor accommodation

Great location and nice facilities. Will advise to revise some maintenance issues. Guest communication and relations is ok, but not great. We were a group of 5, in different rooms and we had a great time in Norich.

The location was nice, but the bed wasn't king size as advertised. A robe and slippers were advertised but there was no robe and slippers were unfortunately one size fits all (unless you have regular man sized feet). Kitchen utensils were dirty, particularly those kept in the window such as spatulas and pizza cutters. Mirror was also filthy. Generally ok, mostly comfortable, but expected more for the price point

Clean enough but overall I was disappointed. Location was good but pub was very noisy across the road, especially on the weekends. This would’ve been okay apart from the fact that our window was smashed and celotaped back together, so we could hear everything outside. We also tried to change dates to a few months later instead but we were told that it was not possible, despite there being availability. We turned up two weeks later than originally planned, so I believe the window could have been fixed in this time before our arrival. The window latch was also broken which was not ideal in 30 degree heat. We also came back to our room door being unlocked and wide open, with our room half-cleaned. Nobody was around our room or from what we could see, even in the building, posing a security risk. Thirty minutes later someone arrived to finish cleaning the room. The main door downstairs is not locked during the day either so this was a worry.

Sadly, we had no electricity for the duration of our stay. The management team have failed to respond to our request for contact to discuss compensation. The lack of power cannot be blamed on the thunderstorm that night as there was no power before the storm hit. The food we had bought for breakfast was spoiled as the fridge could not run. The room had not been properly serviced - dirty tea towel, someone else’s spit & toothpaste in the tooth mug and the floor had not been swept. We had some cleanliness issues during our previous stay in November 2023 but assumed it was a one off - clearly not!

We booked early check-in as we were attending an event. When we arrived, the room was filthy, food and dirt on the floor. Pubes in the bathroom, dirty towels everywhere. Bed had been slept in, wasn't made with makeup all over. All the furnicher was dusty, as if it had never been wiped. When we phoned to let them know the lady on the phone was very rude also. 2 hours later the room did get cleaned, leaving us half an hour to get ready for our event, but still the room hadn't been cleaned properly, still hair all over the bathroom, food residue over the sides, and other people's belongings. On the hall, there were also dirty socks left, wallpaper falling off from damp. We also hat to park on the road as there was no parking spaces.

A great place to stay for a night or two. The room are a decent size and in good condition, If you can look past the trademark glitz. The entrance to my room (entrance 2)down dark, unlit, alleyways, or behind big rubbish bins, so be careful which you book! Overall great value and I’ll definitely be back

The room was clean and comfortable, very helpful staff as I ended up needing to book additional days short notice and luckily the room I had requested with the bath was available. Access to room was easy and could come and go as I pleased with ease too. One or two of the upstairs guests were heavy footed and I was awoken twice by them coming and going in the late hours, maybe the stairs would benefit from a carpet runner or something similar to combat that. There was a few basic items in kitchen missing; sieve or colander would have been useful and a service cleaning spray, there was also only one sharp kitchen knife to use. I also would have liked a separate hand towel provided so that I could keep my other one cleaner after using the W/C. The only other issue I had was that the Wi-Fi codes provided in the room via the tablet and TV were not up to date so I couldn't access the internet until staff were back on duty the next day. I think this could have been resolved with a simple welcome page in the room so it can be updated by the hotel. Im not sure what the speaker in the room would have been useful for and I actually unplugged this and left in in the drawer as the light on it was disturbing for sleeping hours. Otherwise I had a lovely stay here and although already a returning customer I would recommend for an overnight or short stay most definitely.

Positives- great location, nice room with good facilities, easy check in/out, good parking, nice shower. Negatives- too soft pillows with no support. The main negative which would unfortunately mean we would return is that the room was boiling! It was a hot June day and it was hotter in the room than out. Both our rooms had fans but they were loud and didn’t cool the room down at all. None of us slept at all because of how hot the room was. With air con or at least some decent fans this would’ve changed it from an unpleasant stay to pleasant.

The room was very hot, it was very noisy when trying to sleep. The sound of traffic and people outside was a constant disturbance. The towels were very rough and should be replaced. The bathroom toiletries had not been refilled and there was hardly any left. The bathroom could have been cleaner. We were woken by the fire alarm going off which was a false alarm.
