Number 82 The Unthank

The room was not cleaned properly, because the bin was filled with the rubbish from the previous guests, there are cobwebs on the ceiling and we found drinks that left behind from.the previous guests in the fridge. There is no sound proof between rooms, as we can hear from the room nextdoor and the noise from the corridor. All and all it was not a great stay for us at all.

Lovely clean big room. We were right next to the entrance so a bit of through traffic noise but would definitely stay again.

This was the most unpleasant experience we have ever had at this location.. had so many good times here.. but on this occasion,, was given a tiny room , when we got into the room,, there was no toilet rolls , only one cup, as there was two staying was not great,, rang the so called helpline and was greated with a person who told us what do you expect,, this is not a 5 star hotel, if you require a cup ,, the consier will be back at 8.30 in the morning, that's not good if you are leaving at 7... And became very rude and put the phone down.. when I rang her back,, still the same,,no people management,, unfortunately will never come back to this,, witch was a great place for us to come..

The rooms are dirty and very cold . Dirty linen and hair blocked shower trap. Towels are thread bear along with dressing gowns . Tv too small and poor signal. Radiators situated behind curtains at night very cold, boilers have been set low so you can't get and decent heat. Cutlery and utensils missing cracked wine glasses no tin opener lack of plates etc. Light bulbs blown in bathroom and not replaced radiator in bathroom not working. Bed sheets stained and dirty Generally very poor. Staff helpful but powerless to really attend to these problems

The photos look great. The reality not so much. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Fake everything. Pancake-thin pillows, bed marginally okay, blankets similar to the kinds you use to move house, hair dryer that barely hums, hangers you can't steal (as if you'd want to) that bow under the weight of winter clothes. The floors are lino and cold in winter. Took a week for the heat to go down from 24 degrees to 21.5 (though we set it to 19). No coffee maker or sharp knife. Loud, as it's on an intersection. Used to be a sex hotel, we hear. Makes perfect sense. Close to family, so great location for visiting at the holidays, but we won't be making this mistake again in years to come.

Bathroom door doesn’t close, and bathroom light switch doesn’t work, shower head lets out 6 strands of water, towels were stained, room was noisy through the night with flapping airvent. Facilities are good if you wish to cook and do some washing. Tired decor

Bed was so comfortable. Room spotless. Concierge, Ashlyn, was a delight, so helpful. Lovely stay. Rooms are large with a well equipped kitchen, sorry we were only staying the one night. Easy walk to city centre. Can be a little confusing to access rooms if you arrive when concierge have left for the evening and you haven't already collected your keys!

Great location easily walkable into Norwich centre but also in its own little neighbourhood with shops, cafes and pubs. Well equipped and comfortable room. Lovely rainfall shower. Unfortunately we were not allowed to park early which was a shame.

There is a sign up outside Number 82 which says "A devilishly good night's sleep", however nothing could be further from the truth. The Pear Tree pub across the road and their clientele provide a very noisy interference which lasts until 2am (due to their late licence). The road outside the hotel contains a manhole cover that makes a noise for each vehicle that drives over it. The pedestrian crossing lights flash all night and the curtains fail to keep the flashing out of the room. The hotel consisting of apartment rooms is somehow managed remotely, therefore keys are obtained via a code from a key safe, and any questions are only dealt with by phone. Our first issue concerned a broken window mechanism, preventing it from closing and after reporting this someone rang back to allow us to check in to a different room. Unfortunately the second room had a broken toilet. Once the chain was pulled for the first time, (it had an overhead cistern), the water did not stop running but couldn't be flushed again. This was reported at 6pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm, with no response other than "your problem has been logged on the system and I am waiting for feedback". No amount of "can I speak to your supervisor/boss" or suggestions about getting an emergency plumber out, or changing the room bore any result. After the 4th attempt, I remembered that the person providing the second room earlier had rung back from a different number, and once reached, this person did indeed provide us the facility for changing rooms for a second time. There were other issues concerning cleanliness and the heating not working in the second room, all in all a most unpleasant stay that I do not intend to repeat

Lovely studio in excellent location to walk into the town centre. Well equipped, one minor criticism there were no knifes for food prep or cutting bread
