Rodeway Inn University

We had a graduation party for our twin cousins who we haven't seen in some time and for some reason all the hotels Were booked In Newark. I am From the hotel industry so I was taken back from the front desk Clerk who was Volatile and The security guard Who Did nothing. We were supposed to have rooms next to each other and non-smoking rooms and that did not happen. We were separated and my brother had a smoking room. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude so much so that I have never seen such hostility at any place that I ever dealt with customer service in my lifetime. This hotel is located right off the highway so there was a lot of noise. It is a motel not a motel so the doors are open outside. The room is surprisingly clean but it smells Like chemicals. I seriously have spent nights in places that you would rate lower but this is he worst Enter at your own risk. You are Not being taken care of. One out of 5 stars is a gift .

They were so rude. I went through another agency online first and when I got there to pay the lady wouldn't let me pay through that site. She actually canceled my reservation and told me that I had to use Expedia. At this point I was already there so I booked online with Expedia. After I did that, went back inside she proceeded to tell me that I had to give her a $200.00 deposit. Omg. I was so mad. I told her you never said anything about that before and why do I have to give you that? It was a big thing. My mom was on the phone, my friend came over there. We got it straight but these people are so crooked that I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They're not nice at all.

It’s lit!

Close proximity to university of Delaware was a plus. The facility was a bit run down, but the room was clean and front desk service was friendly.

The hotel was surprisingly clean. Beds were clean but hard. Overall not a bad stay for one night. Again so surprised by the cleanliness of the room a big plus for that. No cigarette smell just smelled sanitized.

Stayed two nights. When I walked in the room seemed clean and it was nice. Smelled a little like cigarettes. No big deal. That night, however, I saw a roach in the bathroom which freaked me out! Ran out the bathroom and sprayed it with Lysol! I figured it would die, I closed the bathroom door, then came back a few minutes later and the roach vanished! Decided to leave most of my luggage in my car just in case! Next morning I Saw another roach and I actually killed it, then two more and I couldn’t get out of there quick enough! When i opened the door to leave the hotel the hallway and stairs were surrounded by Cicadas! It was like jumping through hoops and running a marathon to get out of there! They were huge! Totally creeped me out. Went to check out and the clerk was arguing with a customer. Both used vulgar language towards each other. Very unprofessional on the clerks end. I didn’t tell the clerk my experience because I had a funny feeling it would not go well and I just wanted out! Took a picture of the roach in bathroom but couldn’t take one of the Cicadas since they were everywhere I just wanted to leave.

Pool closed and dead cicadas everywhere. It has seen better days.

Cheap motel so you should expect 5 star. But it was a good place to rest my head. Quieter than i thought it would be and the staff was nice.

They have ROACHES ! I switched my room twice two different sides of the building still seen bugs . I have a video . Management is horrible . Everything about this place is disgusting .

Stayed the night, kept finding trash all over the room from an empty water bottle under the bed, to an empty soap box in the shower, to a used floss pick in the shower drain. Will never be staying again.
