Tavistock Town House

Very easy stay, host communicated clearly and provided great local knowledge. Beautiful spacious house with all required amenities. Absolutely fantastic stay.

The steps in the hallway are dark slate and are not obvious, this was slightly dangerous.

Very convenient location in the centre of town, near to restaurants, grocery shops, etc. Spacious and well equipped house, with a patio and garden up the hill, and four bathrooms! Quiet and comfortable rooms. Easy access to Dartmoor and Cornwall too.

Not possible to open all bedroom windows. (The house is listed, so the windows cannot be modernised.)

We just had a great stay for a week in the beginning of April 2024. The location was in the middle of the Tavistock town centre. Elizabeth was a very friendly and caring host. She even visited us once during our stay to check if everything is going well. The place is huge, warm and spotless. The house is equipped with all the facilities you need. The street parking was free and very near. You just need to make a short walk (2-3 minutes) up to the hill right next to the house. You can also park right in front of the house after 6pm until 9am.

There was only one area I wish to see an improvement - Internet speed. The speed was just OK to watch Netflix but the uploading speed was not sufficient enough to support my work. It took ages to upload my files into cloud which slowed down my work speed a lot. Apart from it, all was perfect!

The ambiance. Tastefully decorated, warm and a little quirky. Each bedroom is fully en-suite.

The lack of parking

Fantastic location and very clean. Everything you needed was provided.
