Watermouth Lodges

Quiet & nice. Wish the Jacuzzi was open. Also hope some oven trays would have been there as we did not have any. Rest were all fab. Thanks

The lodge was absolutely beautiful, everything you would need for a stay away, I can’t complain about anything, very spacious and clean and the views were amazing , definitely coming back

Great views, amenities were good. The lodge was adequate, we had to call out maintenance a few times as we had no heating and it stunk of damp but they came out almost immediately so can't fault them there.

Very relaxing sray in a spotless log cabin in a peaceful setting.

We arrived earlier than the 17:00 check in and were told 1 of the 3 cabins we’d booked was ready so were able to unpack early. The cabin was clean and contained most essential household items for an easy stay. The site has great facilities including indoor pool, outdoor pool, bar, restaurant, outdoor seating, playground, sports court, games room and indoor soft play area which is more than a local hotels. Across the main road is Watermouth bay which is great for exploring and watching the sunset. You aren’t allowed BBQs on site due to the cabins being clad in wood but take one down the the bay at sunset. The site is having updates and even the week we stayed they were updating the WiFi network and laying some new path or crazy golf coarse. Ilfracombe town is only a short 15min bus or car ride away with a traditional UK seaside town fee. The resort seem to be investing to make it even better. Dogs are also very welcome on site.

The setting for the lodges are great and overlooks watermouth harbour. They are in a woodland setting in castle grounds.

Stayed in 3 bedroom lodge, clean and comfortable .We had a warm welcome at the resort from all of the staff and nothing was too much trouble. We had help with our tv and WiFi, both were sorted immediately. Reception helped us book a taxi, and nothing was too much trouble. The surrounding area was stunning and the lodges are really peaceful

Great cabins in a beautiful area

Lovely staff very helpful , was supposed to to be able to check in at 5 had to wait till 6 due to staff shortage which happens and understand these things happen just difficult when having 2 small children to settle. Wanted to try restaurant but take away wasn’t available and long wait in restaurant so opted for somewhere else.

The place is beautiful and we loved it. However the outdoor pool was not available as it had no water in it and the service in reception, the bar and restaurant was far too slow. I am hoping it is just down to them only being open a few weeks and it will get better because it really was a shame as it let the place down.
