Fauna Montevideo is located in a historic building from 1927 and therefore does not have an elevator, so guests must use the stairs to reach the accommodations. Starting October 1, 2025, the Municipality of Montevideo has implemented a daily tourism tax of US$1 per person per day for all tourists, with a maximum of US$5 per person, to be charged by all registered accommodations. We will need to add this charge to the total cost of your stay.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Wonderful location in old town. Many good restaurants and historic sites nearby

There is no visible sign indicating “Fauna” from street. So confusing when trying to locate. There is no breakfast served

"Great place to have easy access to many museums and attractions!"

Very attractive hotel, beautifully presented. Very well coming staff. Very nice part of the city in the middle of the old town and only 15 min walk from the ferry.

Absolutely everything !! I genuinely don’t think I’ve stayed in better … fabulous location, beautiful rooms but above all the host Jeronimo was perfect (so welcoming and his recommendations of where to eat and visit … take them ! … made our visit to Montevideo

We had such a wonderful stay here and will definitely go back if we find ourselves again in Montevideo. The staff are incredible, even sharing insights of things to do, restaurants and cafes to try and so much more. They were very easy to communicate with and helpful for anything we needed. The hotel is gorgeously renovated. Loved it so much!
