FAUNA Montevideo

This is a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Ciudad Vieja in Montevideo. There are many bars and restaurants nearby as well as some lovely architecture. The rambla is just a few blocks away if you want to walk along the beach - and there is a lovely pedestrian walk to the plaza indepencia on the same street as the hotel.

The room was a little dark- a very minor issue

The staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. The room was spotless and perfect for a brief stay. Nancy, Geronimo, and Soledad were gracious hosts, not merely employees.

The hotel is in an older building without an elevator. Lugging heavy bags up/down 1-2 flights of stairs is not for everyone, particularly seniors. Still, we received great assistance from Nancy and Soledad. In the end , the absence of an elevator was not a major issue for us.

Everything. Convenient location, quiet, conformable bed, excellent water pressure and heat in shower. Nancy at front desk was lovely, friendly, so extremely helpful of local restaurants, etc.

Der Service der Hosts war extrem aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Die Unterkunft war super sauber und schon eingerichtet. Der perfekte erste Stop in Montevideo! Definitiv zu empfehlen, wenn ihr neu in der Stadt seid
