Novotel Cardiff Centre

Friendly staff, our 7 year old loved the play area and slide inside. Kept him entertained while we enjoyed a drink from the bar

Got told twice the kids sofa bed was made up ready but both rooms didn't have the bed made. Not a problem as we were going out for a few hours so was sorted when we got back from friendly staff.

Hotel was brilliant very comfortable.

Booking.com said in city centre but it was at least 15 mins walk to centre & 15 mins back. Had to get taxi one night as we got lost & could not find our way back to hotel. It should not be listed as a city centre hotel.

So close to city centre and the staff were very welcoming and helpful

Far too many people in the pool area throughout the day, needed o be a time limit as people were there for hours. The shower wasn’t very powerful and the rooms. There were wrappers under the pullout bed when we arrived - the floor could’ve been cleaned better.

Had a good sized secure car park, lovely bar and restaurant area and leisure facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to walk into the city or Bay Area.

The initial booking did not state that you had to pay for parking.

Staff were lovely when I arrived. It was really hot so I arrived early with our pet and they allowed me to keep him in the aircon and enter my room an hour early.

There were carparking charges and pet charges still not stated on Booking.com. This is a shame and, I guess, not the hotels fault.

Location is good. 25m walking distance to the castle and to the marina. The breakfast had good options.

Beds were not that comfortable.

I like it

It’s just disappointing that there is no microwave to heat up some foods.
