Staff very pleasant but service was really poor. Had a meal in the restaurant/bar lots of males in watching football really noisy. The service was appalling. The plates very hot, food was not! Waited ages for food. No one else eating!! Really disappointed in the food for the price. Should be 2 star. Needs an overhaul. Parking really good and outside area fine. Rooms boxy and small but adequate if dated.

It was fine for what it was, could be better, but cheap enough that I can't really grumble. Noisy until about 11pm though.

The hotel is 3 stars. It is a nice hotel for a 3 star. The place is clean. Room felt like a premium Inn room which I felt reassuring. Nice staff . The hotel rates are excellent. I would definitely stay there again. It suited all my needs I think the only thing I would have liked is an ironing facility in room Less noise in corridors in the middle of night

I found this hotel prior to Xmas 2022 due to working in the area. And still staying here now. Rooms are very clean , warm , with complimentary tea and coffee. Towels and soaps provided in clean pod en suite shower room. Gym facility is good , squash courts great , plenty of ( very popular ) exercise classes to participate in every night of the week. Staff are second to none , all very friendly , very helpful (reception staff & bar staff ) along with the locals who use bar for drinks and food. No complaints from me 👍🏼.

Stupidly didn’t look at the reviews before booking this hotel! Check in went ok, we was told we was out in the ‘newly refurbed’ rooms! Went up the stairs to the first of 3 corridors and wow! First one smelt of damp covered up with air freshener! Second corridor stunk of stale cigarettes and third corridor had a weird musty kind of smell! The carpets looked dirty too! Got to our room and it was ok, nothing special.,certainly didn’t look newly refurbed.. more like painted over! So popped down to the bar for some snacks, the chips tasted like they needed an oil change! While we was there 2 ladies came and sat on table next to us with a dog.. I don’t have issues with dog friendly places but having seen a dog behind the reception desk and then in the bar I wasn’t able to stay and finish my food as I’m allergic to dogs. It wouldn’t be so bad if there was plenty of notice as I would of gone elsewhere. Anyway evening came and that had 2 functions on in the hotel.. we was told they have a music licence til 12 so would be quiet after that… no such luck! We then had people running up and down the hallways, shouting, slamming doors until around 3am. The room had 1 towel in it which was for 2 people and they only provide 1 very flat pillow! My night away ended with me having 3 and half hours sleep! I also noticed that anything that was advertised there wasn’t free, you had to pay to use the gym, you could purchase breakfast at the bar the next morning, and if you wanted a hairdryer you had to pay £20 deposit! I most definitely will not be going back!

Went to our uncles wake here , I have to say great staff very help full, food great nothing to much trouble for them. The hot food was great , the sandwiches we fab to . We thank you everyone enjoyed it.

I should have guessed from the very cheap price that this wasn't going to be plush but it is really basic. The room was a little grubby, hardly anything supplied in the room (e.g. 1 towel). The corridors smelled of cigarettes The breakfast wasn't available until after 8am and the food stopped serving after 8pm at night. The pub area was pretty shabby and very busy and load. The food I had was OK (Chilli).

Nice hotel, rooms are basic but clean. Reasonable price, hotel bar is nice for a little drink. Staff are friendly - loved being greeted by very friendly dog at reception! 15 minutes from centre
