Fairways Lodge & Leisure Club

Really nice hotel, easy check-in, plenty of parking. Room was clean and modern and very comfortable. Only niggle would be that we forgot our shampoo but didnt worry as most hotels at least have some for sale if not free. With hair already wet i found this not to be the case and had to use a bar of hand soap! My fault, I'll be sure to remember next time!

There was a building site at the back of the property which was not mentioned, the staff were not helpful at all and we had to eat our dinner in the middle of someone’s wake!!! There is a large room upstairs in the property which surly could have been better suited to give the grieving family for the funeral wake or at least allow those of us dinning to use it so we weren’t feeing incredibly uncomfortable sat eating trying not to sound happy in the middle of someone’s funeral wake!! Very inappropriate and completely ruined our buzz for the night!! The property had loads of stairs like something off labyrinth or the look of the hotel in the shining, when we finally got to our room the lock for the door was dodgy and it took us 10 minutes to get into the room each time. We told hotel staff and just got a Maintanence man trying for 10 minutes too. I booked this thinking as it’s a golfing lodge it would hold a curtain standard but it’s awful to be polite!!

I stay regularly at this hotel, at least once a week. I started working near to Manchester January 2023 and stayed in various hotels, Air B&Bs et. I was not keen on returning to any of them, until I found the Fairways. After my first night I knew it was going to be where I wanted to return to. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Whilst the decor may be a little tired, that does not prevent me from feeling safe, welcomed and the room is clean. I regard it as value for money. If the Fairways Lodge team are reading this - thank you - you do a great job :-)

Modestly priced, not fancy and satisfied our requirements

Ideal place to stay if using the facilities ( eg we stayed over forna squash tournament). Place could do with some tlc, and room wall are.paper thin so can hear others. Apart from that all good, staff good, bar and restaurant decent.

Really good value and you get more than you pay for. Room was clean and tidy with everything in good condition. I have stayed in much more expensive hotels and had worse experiences. Plan to stay again if I am in the area. I would say there were a couple of strangeness. Breakfast didn't start until 8am, leisure centre is same size as hotel and desk in room was 6 inches to low. But food was excellent and I staff were lovely Definitely stay again

Lighting is just above your head on the beds. Could easily hit it.

Overall, it's a great area. My problem is their build in carpets that are filthy. I have a man and woman in the bedroom next to mine I can hear everything they are saying or doing. The bathroom is dated. Overall not bad

Me and my friend had an overnight stay, the staff were friendly, the rooms are small but really clean, the bed was super comfortable, plenty of parking, for the price I was really impressed, I can’t somment on the food or waiting service as I didn’t have a meal there, the bar was lively
