Village Hotel Blackpool

Room were very spacious and well kept.

The lack of security on premises. A fight broke out at 3.50am in a corridor near our room. Tried to contact reception with no answer. Police were called.

Overall a good experience, however just a few things that could be improved. Firstly the rooms and a little dirty with stains on the carpets, cobwebs on the wallsceilings, TV outdated not smart TV no Netflix. Nice big bathroom with powerful shower. The facilities are good, nice clean pool area, the Bar/Grill was nice serving good food and the staff very friendly we hadn't booked a table and the bar man was very accommodating. Our stay was just for one night during the Easter holidays and was good value for this time of year. Location is really good with the zoo close by and Stanley Park across the road. Little bit noisy at night with doors banging and and people just being noisy going back to their rooms. Walls are quite thin as well, could hear a couple being very intimate!!

Good place for football family weekend. Grounds felt safe enough for teenagers to hang out in the evening. Good facilities. Range of food on menu. Special mention to Jade for her excellent customer service helping to return my dozy daughter’s coat which was left in the room. Wouldn’t rule out a return visit for future football tournaments.

First night we stayed we was woken up at 3.30am to two girls fighting in the corridor and then police arrived. Second day we went for food in the pub and grill part of the hotel and found a hair in the prawn cocktail that we ordered, the rest of the food was shocking also. On the final day of our stay the shower was blocked and we had to get hotel maintenance out to fix the issue, also the tv channels wouldn’t work properly. It was overall really disappointing we spend over £400 for 3 nights sat in the club room. The room its self was a specious room but smelt of stale cigarettes.

No storage space / seating in room .other hotels better for a lot less cost Raised lip on threshold to bathroom a trip hazard. Noise levels in bar and Pub Grill excessive we cancelled eating in. No quiet area to sit and talk
