Hampton Inn Traverse City

The air did not work well, the room smelled musty and it was overall very outdated. Desk agents were very friendly and helpful!

Such a pleasant experience -- all because of Tura, the night manager! She was so helpful. When we checked in, we asked for two additional pillows, but the hotel never delivered them. After dinner, we called the front desk and spoke to Tura. She was at our door within 2 minutes, with two pillows in hand and a smile on her face. Later, the four of us decided to go to the breakfast room to play some cards. My wife said, " I wish I had some popcorn," so I ventured to the front desk to see if they sold popcorn. Tura said, "Unfortunately, we do not, but you're welcome to this microwave popcorn that I brought from home!" That's unexpected hospitality! I tried to tell her that I wasn't going to take her popcorn, but she insisted! Much later, when I was at the reception desk, Tura said, "By the way, did you get your early check-in? I was the one who spoke to you yesterday." This is another great example of exceptional customer service... remembering guests and their requests! Hilton -- I hope you're watching because you have an emerging superstar at Hampton Inn Traverse City!

Nice staff. Comfortable beds! Cute property across from the beach

It was fine, no issues and a simple hotel. It was clean. But if you want then to clean your room, you better tell the reception staff. They just do a quick clean of the room. That is a little disturbing. It would be nice that they at least make the bed better. They almost just pull up the sheets. No big deal but they could do a better job.

Amazing staff

I have been going to this location since 1995, and will never go back! The pool was closed ( I had my 6 & 9 year old grandchildren with us). They were working on the roof the entire time I was there, the dumpster was outside my window. The Bathroom must have flooded at one time as the bathroom door was curling and peeling apart. Rooms are extremely small. When I inquired about some compensation, The mgr. on duty said "well things break" At the time of checkout The desk attendant (Dominic) said he was going to give me a free night on my rewards account, and he did NOT follow thru or just outright lied.

A little bit worn around the edges. Pool was not open!!! Under construction.
