Staff were lovely, especially the lady on reception. Food was delicious, we had the Gnocchi with chicken for dinner. Had to wait for hot breakfast items to be replaced as they soon ran out but there was plenty of choice. The setting was beautiful.

Room was a little tired compared with the rest of the hotel's decor

Sehr schönes Haus außerhalb von Gloucester aber nah genug für einen Abstecher in die City.

Es war stickig warm im Zimmer und das Fenster ließ sich nur einen kleinen Spalt weit öffnen. Da hat auch der Ventilator keine Chance gehabt.

Great location for overnight stop on long journey. Attractive grounds. All the staff were brilliant and the hotel has to be one of the most dog friendly establishments we have stayed, allocating rooms close to an exit door for easy access for the dog. Plenty of on-site parking. Excellent breakfast.

Some of the decor was beginning to look a bit tired in need of a refresh carpets and paintwork. Bathrooms have showers over baths and perhaps in any remodelling level access showers would be better for ease of access.

Excellent breakfast, good choices and very efficient and welcoming service. Exceptional reception for our dog, good doggy pack , lovely welcome and interaction from all staff and nice walks on site All the staff we met were impressive , friendly and super efficient . Set menu and overall package deal very good value for money

Decor is a bit tired in rooms and corridors e.g. bathrooms and corridor carpets . Dining room and reception attractive but chairs in dining room are low for tables, the addition of a cushion made a big difference !
