Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas

Overall a good experience, though a few things could be improved- Listing allowed me book 5 people (4 adults, 1 teen) in a room that accommodated no more than 4 & staff were unable to resolve to our satisfaction. The rooms were clean (though dated) and housekeeping was great. We had a great view of the pools from balcony, which was appreciated. Overall staff was experience was so-so. A big issue..there are no lifeguards/supervision at pools or lazy river (at least that I could see- no one was enforcing safe practices)- all become BUSY- especially with small, unsupervised children. There's outside bars and walking staff to order drinks from. Parents are drinking, many are not watching their kids. For the safety & enjoyment for all, there needs to be proper lifeguards. Our family ended up leaving the lazy river (as did most other adults and older teens) as it became too chaotic- kids jumping in/out from sides, kicking/splashing, aggressive play, throwing footballs, stacking tubes & was far too busy. We did still have some very enjoyable moments in the lazy river and adult pool. The grounds were clean and very well kept. Finally, the food from the restaurants are desperately lacking- I wouldn't even bother- there are far better local options. While it wasn't all bad, I'm not sure we'd return- for what we received, it was quite pricey. I appreciate that they are welcoming to families and all ages, but we might be looking for a more relaxing, adult driven resort.

Great water park, nice accommodations. Wish the hours of the HyTides were a little earlier in the high-heat days of summer (opens at 10AM), but otherwise the hotel itself and pools and water slides were great. But don't eat here, the food is no better than a lunchroom cafeteria with prices to match the nice-looking decor. We'll bring our own next time.

We only spent one night there but wish we had more time. The room was very nice. The kids spent all day at the pool. It was an added plus that could order food to eat pool side. If I had any complaints, it would be that the parking lot got full.

The room was amazing with a view of the golf course very clean!! Internet access a little spotty in the room The spa was closed while we were there so had to go elsewhere for our massages but overall I would return

In first day, I ordered the food and after one hour 40 minutes, they say the kitchen is closed and the second day they don’t have a power for the hotel and I don’t know this is not hotel. This is maybe motel.

I’ve spent an hour on the phone trying to figure out why an extra $257 charge hit my account. They hung up on me so I will call my bank. The hotel is outdated and not worth the price. Super packed, good luck, trying to slide or go in the lazy river.

Did the job. It was comfortable albeit a little dated. Their attempts to remodel and update are appreciated, but it still showed its age. Fun stay with the water park and lazy river… that’s was the highlight!

This hotel is amazing for families to enjoy all the water amenities at the hotel overall accessible to other outdoor activities.
