Hampton Inn Birmingham/Mountain Brook

The property as a whole is older and not well maintained. When we checked in the water had been shut off all day and was going to be off for several more hours. Our first room had droplets of blood on the floor by the toilet. The second room was fine, but I won’t be going back. The common areas were dirty, and the place as a whole was dated and not well cared for. I was very disappointed. On a positive note, the lady at the front desk, Charm was kind, apologetic, and helpful.

Looks great on the outside and the lobby was clean. I really enjoyed the breakfast area and the young man was very helpful showing me how to use the waffle iron. The staff were very friendly and professional.

There was significant water damage in the ceiling of the bathroom, significant wear and tear in the entry, there was a bunch of cords tangled together between the bed and sided table, and the wall lamp was detaching from the wall.

Service was wonderful and very friendly & helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Seems the hotel itself could use some updates tho. New paint and new updated bath

This is the worst Hampton I’ve ever been to. This place is a complete dump. Holes in the drywall, drawers don’t work, mini fridge slapped in the corner. Stained carpet everywhere. I’ve never seen so much lipstick on a big fat pig. What a disappointing experience.

It was not at all what the pictures portrayed The room had a musty smell that was covered up by the ac being cranked all the way back. Non existent staff.

Checked in to a room bathroom with mold, trash in the trash can. Asked to move rooms and the second was worse! It also had mold in the room and pink and black mold in areas of the tub. The employee at the front desk was kind enough to cancel the credit card transaction and we found a nicer place.

We had zero hot or warm water and had to take cold showers. I heard a man, who was checking out, say he took a cold shower and wanted a discount then he was told no problem. When I also brought up the same at check-out, I was told no problem as well. Bc I did the reservation through Booking, I was informed Booking would have to do the refund by contacting the hotel. I put in my complaint with Booking over a week and a half ago and the hotel still hasn't confirmed anything.

They were doing renovations. The room was humid. I believe the carpet had been cleaned and was not completely dry. The air conditioner was set to 69. The thermostat could be changed but the air temperature never changed.
