Hampton Inn Birmingham/Mountain Brook

This was by far the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. Also the staff was useless and acted as if customers were bothering them from being on their phones. Very rude people that don't deserve a job. Rooms were dank and smelled like mold. Mold was present in the bathroom and in the tub. Requested a room change and was told none were available. Locks on doors did not feel secure. Exit doors were never locked and were held open with tape. This place should be renovated/closed and a new staff hired to represent the Hilton Brand better than these clowns that are currently working there.

Zimmerservice vergessen,bzw. nach Ansprache. Frühstück gut begonnen und nach 5-6Tagen bis zum Ende der Reise nicht genug Essen aufgefüllt,kein Besteck.....usw., Also Personal/Kaffee und Frühstück und Hausmeister.......kleine Dinge einfach schneller erledigen!

I was there for business travel and needed my mom to be able to take care of my baby while I worked. We had adjoining rooms which was perfect. While it is an older hotel they are in the midst of renovations - it’s clean and friendly and the location cannot be beat in terms of putting you right into Mountain Brook village. I’m very glad we stayed here and I look forward to seeing what they do with the renovation.

Nice place to stay. Safe and good location

This property is a bit worn around the edges. It seems clean and is convenient so it works. It’s a fairly utilitarian experience. 1/2 elevators were working so stairs became viable option. Cleaning signs posted throughout property during daylight hours. Can’t they clean at night? Walking from eating area to coffee area triggers the auto front door - annoying. If you are visiting in Moubtsin Brook it is convenient to where you likely want to go. Nice shopping in Mt Brook Village etc.

Please do not stay at the Hampton Inn in Mountain Brook. It is the worst hotel that my family and I have ever stayed in, and we travel frequently. The bathrooms were unclean (I had to request the housekeeping to clean the ring around the toilet and remove hair before using it.), the tub was pealing, our shade had a big hole in it and would not go up or down, the dirty rug had a huge hole, the duvet wasn’t inserted inside the duvet cover, the rug was significantly stained, mold was clearly seen on the walls in the breakfast area, the bread was stale and the coffee was cold, the interior halls were scuffed and the whole place had a moldy, musty smell. I contacted corporate Hampton after the stay and was offered platitudes and one night’s points. They didn’t quite seem to care that this hotel should be closed for a complete overhaul. I want to save others from making the mistake of assuming a Hampton Inn in Mountain Brook would be a nice, convenient, safe place to stay.
