It was overbooked? Couldn’t check in

Tub faucet had continuous leak. Stucco pealing off ceiling. Large crack in wall repaired poorly. Toilet seat loose. Long hair hanging from wall fixture. Soap dispenser hanging loose from wall. All for $167.00 per night

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and it is such a beautiful part of town. We were expecting so much more. The hallways and doorways were absolutely disgusting. Moldings were coming off. Did not have the room type that I booked, which could’ve been a major problem if one of our children had actually come with us as planned. The room smelled horribly and every guest I encountered on the escalator was sharing the same experience. The handles on the wall in our bathroom literally fell off in our hands and all the furniture must’ve been 50 years old. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve had and will not seek a Hampton Inn in the future as a result.

Room phone didn’t work, tv had to be fixed

Unfortunately, I failed to check the reviews before booking this hotel. I usually don’t hesitate to book at a Hampton Inn because we have always found them to be a solid choice for a clean, well kept property. We found this hotel well below the standards of a typical Hampton Inn and one we would not recommend. Even though the hotel had signs apologizing for the renovation, we saw no signs of anything being renovated. Everything we saw during our stay was not only very dated, but also not clean. We rented two rooms and both of them had issues. The carpet was stained and filthy, the furniture was banged up and the wallpaper (next to the toilet) had stains all over it. Everyone in our party felt the same way. We should have checked out immediately, but we kept thinking it couldn’t get worse and it would be fine. Pulling the sheets back that were not clean was the last straw. On a positive note, the staff could not have been nicer. If the hotel were up to Hampton standards, we would definitely return as everyone we encountered was so pleasant.

Our room had no trash can, broken tv, no hairdryer, no soap, and it was very run down. No AC in the 5th floor hallway.

We had a very disappointing experience. The hotel is old, with dirty carpets, dark halls, very little lighting at the entrance. It had the smell of mold in several places . The breakfast was very meager and not attractively presented. Several other guests were requesting refunds and actually checked out soon after checking in because of the condition of their room! Overall, it was very disappointing. Certainly VERY OVERPRICED for the condition! Certainly not up to Hilton standards.
