Hampton Inn Birmingham/Mountain Brook

The hallway was kinda dark and needed updating. The room appear nice and clean beds comfortable. The outlets needed replaced they were wore out could not plug anything up. The usb port for cell phone charging was wore out as well. The water pressure was very low, the toilet was not working properly but they did come on fix it. The room was nice looks needed painting but was ok. The location was near good places to eat and shop for local things close to the local medical doctors. It appears it might about to be remolding.

The staff here were very kind and helpful. There were signs saying that they were renovating when we arrived and that is understandable and was definitely an older building in need of repairs; however, we woke up in the morning to a flooded bathroom floor and discovered that the toilet had been dripping water from the top overnight. The staff did come and mop it up quickly after we called, but we never saw a maintenance person. We ended up just heading out earlier than planned because we could not use our bathroom in the room.

This facility is not very clean. Needs a lot of repairs and updates. I did not feel comfortable to use their shower/tub.

This place is a complete dump!! I should have read the reviews. The website warns of renovations, but nowhere does it say it is a dump!! We were there 5 nights and changed rooms 4 times. Here are some of the problems we encountered: the A/C didn't work in two rooms; the toliet almost overflowed each time it was flushed in one; sink stopper was stucked closed--ended up using a toothbrush to keep it open during our stay after maintenance said it was "fixed;" curtains and blinds broken and wouldn't open; coffee maker didn't work; toilet leaking from the botton and flooding bathroom floor; no thermostat for A/C, so another move; light bulbs out in lamps; filthy and ragged furniture in all. I would never stay here again.

This property needs to be remodeled. The air conditioners in the room need to be replace.

Old needs to be cleaned.

My friends and I have stayed at this Hampton Inn many times and have been very pleased. This visit, however, the facility was being renovated. The carpets were dirty; the paint was peeling off the walls; and I could not recommend the hotel. I’m surprised we weren’t told the hotel was under renovation before we made our reservation. The cost of the one double room was quite expensive under the circumstances. I would not stay here until renovations are completed.

In serious need of remodeling. Old and worn. Door hard to close and lock. Easily visible black mold in shower.
