Motel 6 Baton Rouge, LA - East - I-12

Did not honor my reservation but did not refund. In 2 words: the worst. The property itself was in terrible shape

I made the reservation for my wife over the phone with Expedia. It was the day before Hurricane Ida was predicted to hit Louisiana and all of the hotels were full. When my wife arrived at the hotel (ten minutes after the reservation was confirmed over the phone by a representative at Expedia), they told her there was no reservation from Expedia for her, despite the fact that she had a confirmation number and the fact that the Expedia rep had spoken to a woman named Minerva in their reservations department who assured the Expedia rep that there was in fact a room available. The surly man at the front desk told my wife that there was no one there named Minerva, and they had no rooms available – Expedia or not. My wife ended up sleeping in her car in the parking lot of a nearby McDonalds. I don’t know whether this was a failure on Expedia’s part or (more likely) a failure on the part of the hotel or it’s centralized booking system. But it was most definitely NOT a cancellation. But understandably, it was a hurricane emergency and things happen. But it took six weeks to get the hotel to refund the money they'd accepted for the room, and in the end they refused to admit it was anything except a cancellation on my wife's part. Their final email confirming the refund said they'd decided to “waive the penalty on your recent cancellation” which is a gross misstatement of the actual facts. I've never stayed at a OYO property, but it'll be a cold day in hell when I do so in the future.

Everything was bad

First if all We were dealing With A Crisis And Didn't Have Lights Due to Hurricane ida and These People Were lying saying they Had Rooms And They didn't I stayed on the Site For Almost 4 hours Trying to get a Refund the Same Rooms they booked to us They Were Booking to Other people Hours later Saying They sorry they didn't Have Rooms That's was A Big mess Not alone Due to them not having rooms They and me Booking Took my last Funds And me and my Family had to sleep outside Until I was refunded my money Never ever will I book here Again Not to metion they were getting Compliments about roaches coming out the Beds and Bed Bugs OYO MID CITY IS A BIG O NO

This was the worst room I have ever had!!!!! It’s nothing like the picture. I asked for another room only to get a worst one. It’s nasty, nothing works and they are not friendly at all. I have to go to a whole other hotel to stay at. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Heroin needles. Crack heads. Broken glass and windows. Mudd on bed.. didnt stay there. I want my money back in full

They rooms was nasty and and it was drug there man carting guns

Room had electrical problems. Bathroom door was beaten in and broken. Flies were in the room

Photos on the hotels.com website are misleading. The place is dirty, the bed sheets heve cigarette burns. Worst place to stay ever. Avoid staying here and anywhere with the OYO brand.

this place did not meet my expections for me and my family the the receptionest is very nice but the property and the rooms are very dirty there is a pool but it is not useable it looks like it has not been cleaned in months. i was dissatisfied with the room that we did not checked in and requested a refund that we are still waiting on.
