The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa

I think Tampa should do better with the choices of places to stay the place was horrible, the shower is horrendous, the beds were not attached to railing, walls thin as a needle, baseboards were brown but was suppose to be white, no microwave in rooms last but not least our last day there at 8am the fire alarm went off and woke my family up!! Also the cherry on top was the maids literally knocked on every door at 11am for checkout HOW RUDE the review is as honest as it going to get. Seems like this is ONLY an investment opportunity to me this place should be investigated asap

The property was outdated and the inside ( lobby/rooms) was not as nice as the photos.

The hotel was extremely dirty! Hair in our bathtub, toilet would not flush and the pool is not the same as it shows on their website. We did not stay. We had to get another room elsewhere.

This was pretty much a motel. The carpet is horribly stained in the hallways. The flooring in the room was lifting. The sheets were stained and the pillows were yellow.

The bathroom and shower are terrible. We had to switch rooms three different times. In addition the front desk gave another couple. Our room key after we are already checked in thank God we were by our door. Just an overall Terrible experience. Requesting a refund.

It is very disappointing to see this once beautiful property decline so terribly. Rusted areas in tub/shower, sliding doors that stick and old furnishings. The lobby area is unimpressive and uncomfortable with old seating. Even the fresh water dispenser with lemons and limes has been removed. The outdoor seating area with bay view is uncared for. The pool area is old and uninviting, no one goes to the restaurant indoor or out. The dining furniture is old and uncomfortable. The once gorgeous pier sits as an eyesore since destroyed by hurricane Idelia, A YEAR AGO. The last straw for me is that the property is cashless forcing the guests to pay with a credit card. The “service fee”, AS A PERCENTAGE, is then passed on to the guest. Are you kidding me ? There are much nicer places to stay with corporations that care about and respect their guests and the money they will spend.

Once checked in and made it to the room, i've noticed that the furniture looked worn down. The remote control was mossing from the room. The shower curtains were dirty and the tub tiles were pilling. The shower shower head was also rusted and crusted with calcium build it. I will not be staying there again. Although the staff was friendly and welcoming. It is very unfortunate that the upkeep of the hotel rooms were very underwhelming.

The first room was terrible. It smelled like a wet mop with bleach. Curtains werent hung over a/c unit. Floor was bubbled up which was a major fall risk. Shower was rusted and disgusted. Stain on chair in room. Ceiling vent fell on outside of room. Had to get placed in another room which was tolerable but still not the best. The hotel looks as if it can be vacant at anytime.

front desk staff was nice but the room was dirty, bathtub wouldn’t drain, fridge in the room was leaking water. pillow sheets had these dark stains that looked like mold and the list goes on
