Castaway Bay by Cedar Point Resorts

Water park was well maintained and water was warm! Both kids had a blast! Rooms were clean and very spacious. Mini bowling and mini golf was exceptional!

Not much food within the resort, make sure u bring snacks or be prepared to dine out or door dash

Horrible experience! Around 10 at night I pulled up the sheets/blanket that was tucked in and laid down and my arm instantly got wet. I got up and saw a wet spot on the sheets. I started feeling the top of the blankets to see if it was wet and it wasn’t just the sheets and bed. Which tells me they didn’t change the sheets from the last guest. Upon looking at it further it had a small yellow tint to it although it didn’t smell like urine. My husband went down to the front desk which took them 10 or more minutes to come up and look and asked us what we wanted down. I said a different room. They went back downstairs called us about 10 minutes later and said pack up your stuff you’re going to this new room come and get the key. We got most of our stuff that we could carry but a few things. Mind you I had to wake kids up including a 4 month old. They refused at the front desk to give us the new key until everything was removed from the room. So around 11pm at night I had to stand there with a screaming baby and all of our stuff while my husband went up to get the rest. Sadly this wasn’t the worse part. The same day around 5pm when we got out of the pool to go to dinner some kid had an accident and there was poop all over the floor and down the hallway. When we went downstairs to get our new key there was still poop all over (5 hours later) we told the front desk and they act shocked even though other customers confirmed they had already told them. We get up the next morning and there is still poop all down the hallway. I went down and told the front desk again and they said well we aren’t allowed to leave the front desk but we let the cleaning people know. The janitor was in the lobby sweeping instead of cleaning up the biohazard. We get back from breakfast and there is still poop smeared everywhere. I took pictures of it at this point when we left to go the water there was still poop smeared and a turd in the hallway at 1030. We called and ask to speak to a manager once we got home and they said the best we can do is 25 percent off. My husband told them that wasn’t enough for laying in someone’s urine and tracking through poop the whole weekend they claimed it was wasn’t a biohazard and there was just poop smears not any turds so my husband asked him if they wanted me to send them the pictures with the time stamp on it and they hung up on us. We have tried several times to get ahold of corporate but have not heard back from them either.

My only complaints were i was charged.for the early check in however a couple that we went with go there a couple hours before us and did not have to pay that fee. Also there werent many kid-friendly shows to choose from on tv that night and nothing available to rent.

Nice and clean rooms. Water park lifeguard were tentative.

Elevators were dirty. Trash stayed in them for days. A few attractions were down…

Easy check in and room was ready at arrival everything was clean

Slides was closed and was told the was going to open next day and never did

I wish there were larger trashcan in the rooms.

The bed frame making noise just to sit on the bed. Every little movement it’s making noise which it’s so irritating for me. I have trouble sleeping .

The hotel,the staff, the experience, the water park was all amazing!
