The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage

We've been to this Ritz several times in the past. We live around an hour away & it's a great value when booked in the summer & if you're willing to stand the heat by hanging out at the pool. Most activities in the area have limited or summer hours due to the high temps, but it's great for lounging at the pool for half the cost of peak season in the spring. My wife & I stayed for 3 nights with club lounge access. The following individuals stood out for going above and beyond: JR at the adult pool! Wow! Best pool service ever! He really hustles. Upon arrival he ensured umbrellas covered our chairs & even pulled up a third one to cover our feet. Him & the pool attendants ensure our water was never below half full. While in the pool he pulled out inflatables for my wife. He also gave us complementary chips & guac without asking. He also took the time to use a portable leaf blower to ensure the buds from the local trees were not on the towels on empty chairs. We watched him hustle the entire shift while still taking the time for small convos! Friendly & attentive! In the club lounge, Melanie went above and beyond ensuring that everyone had what they needed. My wife was actually talking to her about how she loved the body lotion in the room (Diptyque), that she wanted to get her mom a bottle, & Melanie not only gave her a bottle free of charge, but wrapped it in a Ritz gift bag and included a hand written card as well! Lastly, Sato on the night shift at the club lounge. Not sure we've ever seen a happier waiter or attendant. He seemed to truly enjoy his job & serving others. He's a pleasure to be around. In terms of the facilities, it's not our favorite Ritz in terms of the rooms. They are on the small side & are even more cramped with all of the furniture they jam in there (chase lounge, 2 more chairs, & 2 side tables). It's way too much! Additionally, the light color chairs had minor staining. The bathroom had a large shower & deep bath tub but only one sink. Overall, the service really helped this property SHINE! Would definitely return again the next summer when the temps climb & the prices drop.

From the moment you arrive at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, you away by the breathtaking views, immaculate grounds, and impeccable service—but what truly made our experience exceptional was the warm welcome we received from Joni at the front desk. Joni embodies everything you’d hope for in hospitality: gracious, thoughtful, and incredibly genuine. She made us feel like valued guests from the moment we stepped on property. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and any thing we needed was taken care of. The property itself is stunning—perched above the valley with sweeping desert views, luxurious rooms, and world-class amenities. But it’s people like Joni who elevate a beautiful resort into a truly memorable experience. Her hospitality was the heart of our stay, and we are already looking forward to returning. Another one of my favorite people at the resort is Rey at the lobby bar. Rey is a master mixologist with a fun, witty personality. Always love seeing him on our visits. Highly recommended for anyone looking for relaxation, luxury, and outstanding service with a personal touch.

No negative experience

Everything is wonderful and met our expectations. Our front desk Ruben was exceptional went beyond his way to take care of our experience.

This is a great property. The staff and the check-in went great and we had no complaints whatsoever. The rooms are a little dated, but still well kept and the housekeeping was great. The grounds in the pool were in excellent condition. No complaints.

We love this hotel and would not stay anywhere else in the area The service is excellent no matter where we were at the hotel. The room was very nice and comfortable. It's hard to be critical of anything but for a 5-Star hotel I was grossed out by all of the stains on every chaise lounge cushion at the pool. The first one I was on had ketchup stains on the side of it. Yes, the staff covers them with Ritz Carlton towels, but it is very off putting seeing these cushions in such a dirty state. They need to be cleaned or replaced more often than they are.

This place is stunning! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Wow! We are just absolutely blown away by our experience at the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage and Spa. This was our first time staying at this property as we had just checked out of a waterfront Intercontinental Hotel that left us feeling extremely disappointed so we were truly looking forward to relaxation upon checking into the Ritz Carlton and they definitely delivered. The ladies and gentlemen working on the staff are friendly, warm, welcoming, professional and so hard working. From Nathaniel at the front desk for check-in, to Nico in housekeeping, to the entire staff at the Air pool, everyone was just on top of their game the entire time. It's impressive to see them in action, as they anticipate all guests needs in advance, and they do it with positive energy and a smile. We stayed in a spacious, beautiful, impeccably spotless and sparkling executive king suite with two stunning views of the entire Coachella Valley. We saw rabbits and road runners outside on our balcony and enjoyed the views both during the mornings and evenings. This suite was gorgeous, with one and a half bathrooms, rain shower, large soaking tub and two balconies with our own ultimate secluded privacy. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, we didn't want to leave. The accommodations were so inviting, we felt like we were at home, but treated to luxury at every turn. Highly recommend booking one of these suites, it feels like the epitome of luxury without the pretense or stuffy vibes. The amenities are perfect, the Diptyque products are divine, and the place smells amazing. Victor and the whole team are outstanding with communication, execution and over the top kindness. Across the board, all staff we interacted with offered the warmest hospitality we have encountered in many years. Much gratitude to Danny for his efficiency and kindness during our visit. He is a gem. Honestly, every team member here was unbelievably helpful and accommodating. I hope they all receive a raise, because they truly deserve recognition for their hard work. One of the special highlights of this visit, was the stargazing with Jesus and Frank. We were thrilled to learn about the night sky, stars and constellations and so grateful to safely view the sun AND the moon as well as several other stars and the space station. These telescopes and gentlemen were so fun, and they sparked such interesting conversation about the universe, and shared fun facts about the moon. Special thanks to Jenna at the spa who gave me an incredibly relaxing massage. The stress just melted away and again, I didn't want to leave. She is a delightful human, and the spa and gym are in excellent condition. The aesthetic in every area of this hotel is so appealing. The artwork lining the hallways and inside the residence is phenomenal. The design and spacious layout is perfect, and the location is ideal as an intimate desert oasis. There are also hot tubs and fire pits, although it was too hot for us to enjoy, so that gives us the perfect reason to plan our return again in the winter to enjoy these amenities. Warmest hospitality in years left us speechless with gratitude. Thank you Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage, you helped us find our new home away from home, and we can't wait to return!

Hotel is bit older than I thought. Breakfast is great. Staff and service are excellent
