La Ceiba Tree Lodge

The Ceiba Tree Lodge was fabulous. The room had a great view of Lake Arenal. Sunset was wonderful. The owner, Sergio, was incredibly friendly, provided lots of information about the local flora and fauna, and the breakfast was sensational. Hummingbirds even came to our table.

Sergio is a very friendly host, and assisting with suggestions for excursions The breakfast and dinner menu was tasty. Fantastic environment with flora and fauna, lots of birds, we heard the howler monkeys.

The road to the lodge is challenging, and we wouldn’t recommend to arrive in the darkness. Dinner is not possible after 17.30 which we found very early, but we were served a nice dinner which was great so we didn’t have to drive in the dark.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Sergio, super accueillant qui nous a donné pleins de conseils de visites. Il est aussi guide mais nous avions déjà prévu nos sorties... Très bon petit déjeuner avec vue magnifique sur le jardin.. Le clou du spectacle est la vue depuis la terrasse de la chambre : une vue sur un arbre incroyable de 600 ans...et la nuit nous avons vu des lucioles. Allez y!

Ceiba Lodge is a special place, tranquility, peacefulness, simplicity. The setting is beautiful overlooking the lake and you can watch birds in the gardens and the old 600 year old Ceiba tree all day long. Sergio attends to your every need and question. He is very knowledgeable of the area and makes a wicked breakfast. Coffee is brewed right at your table the old fashioned way, delicious! If you value wildlife and tranquility this is a wonderful place to get to.

Beautiful gardens. Abundance and variety of birds to see from balcony. Fantastic breakfast, best coffee I’ve had anywhere in Costa Rica. Owner Sergio let me play his lovely guitar which after several weeks of travelling made my day!

The dinner was excellent after we had to ask to have meals. The view was lovely and breakfast good. The owner was friendly and views lovely

The road up is absolutely awful so then you don't feel like leaving until you have to and no real walks out of the property. So this put us off going to explore the area A fridge and kettle in the room would be nice but when we asked we were given a kettle

Es ist eine phantastische Unterkunft. Wie im Paradies! Der Gastgeber ist außerordentlich herzlich, es fehlte wirklich an nichts. Das Frühstück war liebevoll zubereitet und ausreichend. Es gibt absolut nichts, was man an der Unterkunft beanstanden kann.
