The Ashley

The breakfast provided a good choice - well prepared and very tasty. The location of the Ashley is excellent. Although the only downside is that the amount of traffic along Marine Drive creates noise but with the window shut it is vastly reduced. On the whole we found the Ashley suited our requirements and we enjoyed our stay there.

There wasn't really anything to dislike. You adapt to your surroundings.

Clean & very comfortable, we were in room 8 with beautiful sea views,2 comfortable chairs & coffee table to sit & enjoy the scenery, king size bed which was very comfortable, breakfast served from 8-9.30 good selection of foods, we parked outside the hotel & didn’t use the car for the whole of our stay.

The views from the window over the bay was beautiful. The room was spacious with lots of storage. The en suite was lovely with a roll bath. Lovely white soft towels and the breakfast was delicious. It was a 10 to 15 minute walk to the town centre, but there is a regular bus route just a few yards away. Bus and train station not too far away and easy accessible by the local buses. Easy to get to the lakes even on the local bus and the scenery is amazing. A fantastic few days stay.

A first floor room with a sea view would have been great. Lots of stairs to 2nd floor! Wifi adequate but did drop out at times as mentioned in the brochure. A sitting room would be lovely .

The proprietor was amazing. She was kind, eager to please and provided us with a good base for our holiday.

Friendly host. Spotlessly clean property and cleaning the room was no problem even though we left quite late a time or two. Great view of Morecambe bay from our room. You can come and go as you please via the coded lock on the front door. Refurbished bathroom. Perfectly cooked Lancashire breakfast (or blueberry pancakes if you prefer!), with lots of the stuff you'd expect in a good B&B like fresh milk, cereals, fresh fruit & juice, fruit salad, fresh coffee, plus a toaster to make toast as and when you want it etc... Free off-road parking to the rear for a couple of cars.

WiFi was flakey; kept dropping out every few minutes. Shower cap would have been useful as it was an overhead shower in our room.

I didnt have breakfast but very nice welcoming.. polight.. friendly.. comfortable clean I felt very cosy during my stay I will be going again soon 😃

There was nothing I didn't like.. everything was perfect for me..

On arrival we were greeted by Pauline who was very friendly, kind and helpful. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed in a sizeable well equipped room. Loved the blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
