The Ashley

The host was very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was close enough to the centre for the amenities but far enough away to be peaceful. The bed was big and comfortable and the room was well equipped with hairdryer, iron and ironing board, safe, flat-screen TV, refreshment tray, toiletries etc. There was a choice of breakfasts from the menu with everything freshly cooked to order (we had the Lancashire breakfast which was delicious) as well as yoghurts, fruit, juices, cereals, fresh coffee etc. We will definitely be back!

Very relaxed and extremely comfortable bed. Great breakfasts. Friendly owner. Exceptionally clean. Very good bathroom.

Odd not to have a bedside cabinet but managed with what was provided. Drawer space could be a bit limiting on a longer stay and remote dying or needs new batteries. Very minor quibbles.

Views from the room

The shower was poor, and the floor was slippery, quite dangerous. The staff were uncommunicative and did not make you feel well come. They did not interact at all, not very wellcoming.

Lovely big room with sea view through very large window. Street parking readily available. Nearby bus stop for short ride to town centre on a very rainy day. Everywhere clean and spacious and a good cooked breakfast.

Only exposed bath with shower attachment, with a notice request to avoid splashing walls and floor - not easy. Breakfat cereal option might have been a bit more varied.

Great place, food loverly host was very attentive. Will definitely stay again. Spotlessly clean room was great.
