Econo Lodge Downtown

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My sister and I both felt the same way. I apologized to her because I was the one that booked it. We were afraid of bed bugs because of the condition of the bedding. We couldn’t wait to leave in the morning to drive to Quebec where we’re spend 5 nights in a fantastic hotel. I travel a lot within and outside Canada. Everyone says I am an easygoing person but, this hotel should be closed. I have booked many holidays with Expedia without a bad experience.

I stayed one night only, thankfully. I took the red eye flight to Ottawa so when I checked in I was exhausted. Immediately after I got the room I wanted to take a nap with very little luck, unfortunately. A few minutes after I got into bed someone from the hotel knocked on the door, waited a total of 3 seconds and then proceeded to open the door (I wasn’t wearing clothes, if it wasn’t by the door chain, it would have been very uncomfortable). She wanted to give me towels and check that the room was clean. I had just checked in so, I assumed it was. Some time later the scene repeated again. She knocked on the door, waited 3 seconds then opened with her key. This time she was bringing pillow cases that she wanted to put on. I was annoyed, why I’m getting double towels and pillow cases if I just checked in? Was the room actually clean? So, nap was impossible. Night sleep? The walls are paper thin, I had noisy neighbours so that didn’t happen either. Also, I understand that for the cost of the stay continental breakfast might be a stretch but just call it something else. A brown bag with packaged stuff is far from a continental breakfast. This is misleading.

Staff gentilissimo e la colazione, seppur basica (succo, yogurt, muffin) è gratuita (cosa rara in Nord America). Stanza enorme e credo recentemente ristrutturata, molto accogliente. Letto comodissimo. C'era oltre al minifrigo e al microonde, anche una macchinetta con cialde per prepararsi il caffe. Parcheggio gratuito all'interno della struttura. A 15 minuti a piedi dal centro!

Aria condizionata un pò rumorosa e finestre che non si potevano aprire in nessun modo. Senza ascensore ma è tipico dei motel.

I am writing to report a serious issue with my recent stay. My brother was bitten very badly by bedbugs at the property. The night before everything was fine, but the following night he started experiencing severe itching and discomfort. By the morning, he had numerous red spots all over his body that are both painful and extremely itchy. He is still suffering from these bites. We have pictures as evidence, and despite trying to contact the property, they have been ignoring our messages. This situation is unacceptable, and we are requesting your urgent assistance in resolving this matter.
