Ananda Guesthouse

This was the first visit for my husband and I to Isla Ometepe. We really enjoyed it! Upon arrival to the island we rented a Quad from Green Expeditions, which I recommend. It was a beautiful drive to the hotel, a bit surprising how rough the final stretch of road is to the hotel, so I'm really happy that we had the quad. I think that this is the way to go. The property is beautiful, with a stunning view of the volcano, surrounded by beautiful plants. Hammocks and tables and chairs outside. The room was large with lots of space, comfortable bed, quiet fan, and functional air conditioning. I love having a large bathroom and shower with hot water! We loved having our own large patio space with table, chairs, and large hammock. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but we did use the communal kitchen to cook for ourselves. The staff are very friendly. One evening we walked up the road to the hotel up the hill and paid $10 each day pass for use of their pool and this included a really good cocktail each. We really enjoyed exploring the island on the quad. A highlight was food and coffee at the nearby famous Cafe Campestre. We still have the lava hot sauce and turmeric that we bought there. Also I bought the best peanut butter that I've ever eaten there. Another thing that we loved was visiting the nearby coffee farm, that i can't remember the name. We did a short forest hike to see some of the impressive petroglyphs. This was amazing. We also saw a lot of monkeys, which i was not expecting.

Nolvar and staff took good care of us during our stay. Would love to come back and stay.

Fantastic stay - the views are beautiful, additional breakfast was tasty, and the room was well designed! This guesthouse strikes the right balance of comfort nestled in nature. Great place to explore Balgue and the rest of Ometepe; you will need a vehicle (we had a scooter!)

It would be nice if breakfast were included in the rate!

El lugar es precioso, las habitaciones son muy lindas y la vista al volcán es increíble. Es de verdad un pequeño paraíso

La ubicación es un poco complicada si no andas tu propio transporte aunque siempre hay taxis
