Kaab Tulum

Cool hotel right on the beach. Going through a few renovations at the moment so be awhere. The rooms were really nice with good AC and a great rooftop bar. They do need some extra staff on service. The poor guy who was waiting was completely overwhelmed and we had to wait a long time for some things. (2 hours for lunch) but overall it was a really great hotel and a beautiful location!

The pool area is sooo dreamy and wonderful and inspiring. The rooms are simple but great. My shower was clogged a little bit, but it was manageable and we could've told them and I'm sure it would've been fixed. The restaurant had such great drinks and guacamole. I'd stay here again!

There is a party house next door. Even though the hotel knew about the party in advance I was not warned when I had the room facing the party that went to 7am. No apology and no offer of recompense for zero sleep.

Really friendly staff and a nice clean room for a great price. Had several covered parking spaces and was a few blocks from the down town area with many stores and restaurants.

Stayed for 8 nights. Very spacious room. Rooms are new. Friendly, helpful staff—Ermilo (waiter in restaurant and at the pool) was excellent. Sergio and the woman at the front desk were always ready to answer our questions. Having bikes available made our trip to the cenotes very easy. The only “con” at the hotel was the constant music coming from the bar/restaurant. It started at about 8:30 am and ended around 11:00 pm ( sometimes later). Since everyone at the pool appeared to be listening to music on their phones, this could be lessened or eliminated for some of the hours during the day. It would be nice just to relax and enjoy the pool. Overall, an enjoyable experience and would stay again!

This new hotel is in a relatively quiet part of Tulum yet only a few minutes walk from the center of town. The staff were all friendly and the hotel is in good condition. I have two complaints. The included breakfast was served too late in the day to be useful to me. I always had to leave the hotel by 0800 but the breakfast didn't start until 0830. It also would have been nice if they had reading lamps by the bed.

My friend and I spent a week in Tulum over Christmas and because of concerns with our original hotel, we booked Kaab Tulum last minute, the day before we flew to Cancun. It was the best decision we made! From the moment my booking was made I immediately received an email directly from the hotel staff. Upon arrival the staff were extremely welcoming. The hotel was very clean and looked exactly like pictured. The only negative experience we had was with the manager. He was not friendly and rather than welcoming the extra business in the hotel restaurant/bar which would otherwise be staffed without customers, he shut down early without notice and told us good night so that we would leave. This was on Christmas Eve while we were enjoying a night cap and chatting with the restaurant staff. We were the only guests who were staying the entire week and we were not rowdy types by any means, this was really frustrating and unprofessional on his part especially considering we are both flight attendants for a major airline that flies to come to Cancun daily from multiple destinations and both have past careers in the hotel/hospitality industry. Again, besides this manager, the rest of the staff were wonderful and we would happily stay at Kaab again.

Great hotel and great service. Beautiful setting.

This is a really charming little hotel. Everything was clean and orderly, the staff very friendly and helpful. It's not super-luxurious (rooms are a little cavernous and floor in room is same concrete as outdoor walkway), but overall a very nice place to stay.
