"Stay away until renovation is completed..."

4.0

We rented 3 adjoining suites for a family "staycation". First the bad...The property is undergoing a long overdue renovation with the main building completely closed. Our suites were in a second building that has yet to be renovated. All three rooms either smelled smoky or musty. We changed one of the rooms because it was so bad. The carpeting in all the suites were old and stained everywhere. The furniture was old and stained as well. None of the mini-fridges worked very well even if they could be adjusted. The privacy doors between living area and bath/bedroom in one suites would not close. The towels provided were old ,tattered, and about as soft as sandpaper. Lastly and not surprising considering the construction and desert location, we had a small scorpion on the wall over our couch. Nothing a flip flop could not take care of but still a little unnerving with small children in the rooms. Now for okay to good...The beds were newer ,clean and comfortable. The front desk staff (Grace) was nice and accommodating. Claudia in guest services was able to have a microwave delivered to our room as there were none. The lazy river was good except there were not enough of the larger tubes available. The putt putt golf course was a bit worn but okay for the kids. The waterslide was only open intermittently throughout our stay for unknown reasons. This Pointe location was at one time one of nicest places to stay in Phoenix. For the approximately 3K we spent for three nights in these run down, poorly equipped small suites, to say we were extremely disappointed would be a huge understatement.

"A good brand, spoilt by inferior hotel facilities and noise"

2.0

Hilton Brand ( that was not demonstrated )

Renovations not being notified, very tired facility, Lots of ground works, Noise, Car parking was all ripped up. No breakfast room etc, This hotel should have been closed during renovations as it was a bad example of the Hilton name

"I didnโ€™t Hilton prices to get Trapped in the elevator"

2.0

Terrifying elevator entrapment, no inspection certificate, unprofessional staff response I got trapped in the elevator with my dog for nearly 25 minutes. Staff couldnโ€™t find the he key to the elevator. Thatโ€™s a massive safety failure. When I asked when the elevator was last inspected, the engineer raised his voice at me and said it was an โ€œold elevatorโ€ and the hotel was being remodeled. The supervisor on duty shrugged it off and said, โ€œtechnology fails.โ€ And that she โ€œwas trapped in the elevators before.โ€ How the hell is what supposed to make me feel safe? This wasnโ€™t a coffee maker malfunction, this was an elevator. With me inside it. No one could produce the elevatorโ€™s inspection certificate, even by the time we checked out of the hotel. I was told only the general manager had it, and no one could say when it was last inspected. That is unacceptable. We paid Hilton prices to stay at what we thought was a family-friendly resort. Instead, we were treated with indifference, no emergency protocol, and no accountability. I do not feel safe bringing my children back here. Hilton needs to do better, this was traumatizing and could have ended a lot worse.

The massage and facial were amazing at the spa. The wait staff at the restaurant were so kind! The hotel is under renovations which I didn't know when booking. They didn't have room service. The grounds were not in good condition. The hot tubs didnt work..... it was not ideal.

The room was old and had a weird smell. The carpet was disgusting and filthy. For a โ€œresortโ€ and paying fees, I was very disappointed. The water park was nice though. Probably wouldnโ€™t stay here again though. Very overpriced for what it is. Also, too much construction all around the property. You should just completely shut down, then reopen when completed.

"Just Terrible, Stay Away!"

2.0

This place is absolutely terrible. Stay away! I stayed for a convention downtown from 10/6 thru 10/9. This place is not only very outdated but had NO HOT WATER for the entire time I was there. I complained each day and was told someone was going to get on it ASAP, but no one ever did. Several other visitors were complaining about the water as well. The workers just rolled there eyed and basically just ignored us. This place was almost $400 a night and no hot water, really? The grounds are like a battlefield. Everything is under renovation inside and out. You are better off at a Motel 6, or a tent for that matter.

The room had coachroaches, the carpet was filthy, the funiture was old and dingy, the balcony could barely fit 2 people. The waterslid closed at 4 when check in is at 4, so di the mini golf. Drinks were terrible for the price at the pool. Pool was dirty. Not enough tubes for all the people. The grounds were all tore up from construction. The elevator was broken near our room. We asked for a handicap room, didn't get it. Asked for a crib and it was an old worn out pack and play. Not a resort at all. It was 300 dollars for a night. Should have been 100.
