Himalayan Ghar

The front desk staff were nice, and the location of the hotel is super convenient. The comforter in my room had red stains, which looked like lipstick, and the toilet cover was broken. The main complaint I have about this place is breakfast. I had to wait for more than 1 hour for eggs and bacon, which is outrageous, so I left and bought breakfast somewhere else, even though breakfast was included in the price of the room.

We fully enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Its in the Thamal area but at the end of a small alley off the main road. So we have the best of convenience and quiteness at the same time. I would high commend Sonit Sreesty the manager to make sure our stay comfortable. Fresh Breakfast included everyday as well as one free ride to the airport. The roof top restaurant made good food from fresh, price is reasonable but it really took the time to get food ready - almost 2 hours for a lunch. No elevator could be a downside but consider you could have a human touch to ask someone to take the luggage for you and provide works for them that's not a bad idea. All in all, I have no reservation to book it again if I will be in Kathmandu again for business purpose.

Thank you for airport pickup, even in case of late flight delay. The location is really nice, we like this place and very nice road to the square. For it costs the room was really nice and big, very comfortable with two kids.

The smell in the room was not so nice, probably because of mosquito repellent devices. I'm glad I found internet at the airport, otherwise I doubt I would have met our driver.

Staff was super good, helping and supportive.

The room itself was comfortable when the aircon worked. The bathroom was large and well equipped. The breakfast was nice and breakfast staff/chef was the highlight of the stay. The gem amongst the dirt.

The aircon was intermittent and did not work at times throughout the stay. The initial staff member on reception was extremely rude and had clearly been drinking as his breath reeked of beer. Literally gave the key and did not advise on breakfast or check out. Had to ask him about it and he just gave us a little slip of paper with minimal explanation. The bottles of water in the room were refilled glass bottles and not suitable for tourists who don’t want to acquire typhoid or spend most of their stay on the toilet. The minibar had just 3 drinks inside it. The cold water came out brown for the first 5 minutes before clearing up which was worrying. Absolutely horrid stay.
