Hotel Banana Boutique & Spa by Paradise Hotels - 5th Av Playa del Carmen

It was a nice hotel other then the reception didn’t speak English I cancelled once night and was charged and I was told I wouldn’t be charged. Location is good but they need staff who can communicate properly

Very nice location and hotel. Beach club was a bonus. Hotel under construction so noise was audible.

We payed double for 2 nights: once via hotel and once via travelagency: Destinia. The travelagency says Banana Boutique should take care of the refund, but still 6 months later no refund. They won' t reply at my emails.

Great location on the main drag of playa del Carmen , yet away from the noisy bars of the drag. Easy walking to the beach and to wonderful restaurants. The hotel itself is spotless and has a boutique atmosphere. Great price for the location. Staff are wonderfully friendly and accommodating. Stayed here for 6 days and no complaints.

I came for a romantic holiday with my husband. We had the most amazing experience the front office staff was the most attentive people I ever meet, they help us with all our needs. It´s located in the best area near the beach, close by is the beach club where you can get a discount as part of the experience. the room is clean and spacious, upon arrival they offer me a complimentary bottle of wine as we had such a terrible fly to the airport. i don´t use to like the shampoo in the hotels but this place uses really good quality products. i will recommend to many other properties to follow them. they have fruit and drink included to all customers all day long also the beach closed by its amazing the only thing i don´t like it was the swimming pool that was not big enough but as the hotel is close to the beach and beach clubs you can use it just to refresh your self. this is a place that i will recommend to everyone as in terms of services, rooms and proximity of the beach its the best spot i ever been. other services that they have and we used it was the dive center. i am an a passionate dive center i dived in Bali all my life and they have a personal service that will organize it as you want. the price is not that expensive compare with the competitors i think is one of the best. even we been really lucky we been diving with the owner that is a young mexican lovely guy that shaw us the best areas for diving.

The hotel has a great location. It is right on Ave 5 and near good restaurants, and things of interest. It is a challenge to find since they do not have the name on the hotel. It just says hotel. A person working near by guided me to it. The rooms are nice but there were basically no electrical connections. There was one that was impossible for two of us to locate. Hidden under a table that requires getting on the floor to see it, and one in the bathroom that went out of service. Phones are critical in traveling, and the inability to charge your phone is a deal breaker.

Excellent location of hotel - on 5th Avenue but far enough away from the centre so that the 5th Avenue noise does not disturb you. The hotel offers free bikes to use to get around About 4 blocks from the beach; they supply you with amazingly large and absorbent towels to use at the beach. Small pool at the hotel - perfect to dip in and soak your sore legs from all of the walking of 5 Avenue. Amazing staff that will assist with whatever need arises - including getting you a taxi at the appropriate price. Highly recommend - I would stay here again!

The Hotel is very nice and has the best location in Playa del Carmen, it’s right on the 5th Av. and 100 meters from the beach, great service, it’s in the heart of playa and you can use the Hotel bikes for free for a tour in the city. It also have a great concierge that can offer the best tours in the area.
