Hotel Banana Boutique & Spa by Paradise Hotels - 5th Av Playa del Carmen

My room 201 was right above a restaurant bar the boutique in general is a above 2 restaurants, both playing karaoke until 3am. So if you plan on napping or even sleeping I don’t suggest this place. The female staff in the restaurant below were rude. The bed and pillows were hard and they only change white linen including towels every 4th day. But if you like to party allll night this may be the place for you.

Nice place to stay centrally. The staff was superb and helpful in every situation. If guests are sent to a third-party site for breakfast, they should be informed that it is a fixed breakfast only not ala carte. So I had to pay. Finally, for yourselves Not the hotel, I requested a stay in Cozumel and was given this hotel which was 2 taxis and a ferry ride across the water each way to get to my cousin in Cozumel itself. This was the most disappointing experience and in 2 days, no rest for me during my visit. If I ask for Cozumel please don't show me Playa del Carmen!

The noise from the bar was excessively loud with two bands performing nightly at the same time. The removal of the pool was quite disappointing as well from my stay before. This place kinda lost its luster for me I’m sorry to say

There was no pool like their picture. It was noisy from 8pm until 4am. Towel service was only every 3 days. Nobody could speak English. Staff never seemed happy. Left after 5 nights, couldn't sleep. Booked 5 blocks away and it made a huge difference

Great location on 5th avenue. I walked there from the main Ado station when I arrived, and walked to the alternate Ado station to leave. Everything is in walking distance. You're not in the rowdiest part of 5th avenue, but there was still very loud music blarring late into the night. But this is to be expected, it was not a surprise, just bring your ear plugs. There is construction there now, but it didnt affect my stay. Front desk staff was very friendly. I would stay here again.
