Hotel Breakwater South Beach

Zum zweiten Mal hier gewesen und wieder ein grandioser Aufenthalt! Diesmal sogar mit Zimmer direkt zur Oceanfront – einfach traumhaft. Die Lage mitten im Art-Déco-Viertel ist perfekt, und das Meer ist in weniger als zwei Minuten erreichbar. Besonders der morgendliche Frühsport entlang der Waterfront war ein echtes Highlight. Sollten wir wieder nach Miami reisen, kommen wir definitiv zurück!

Eines der beiden Zimmer roch leider stark nach Cannabis. Der Geruch war so intensiv, dass Kleidung und Kissen ihn angenommen haben und er noch Tage später wahrnehmbar war.

The location is great! Staff are amazing!

- perfect location and amazing staff - old building but worth for the location

- the room keys were replace once or two times a day as the system will not recognize them - breakfast basic but ok’ish - most of the times the coffee will come in a dirty ceramic cup/mug - the pool was dirty and miserable water - internet not working in the room

Everything was good

Staff was very professional, helpful and welcoming.

The room was nicely furnished and spacious and was clean in appearance but had a light strange spell.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL - I will keep this short and factual . We were told at front desk upon check in the air conditioning was broken, after being shown THREE different rooms, which all had a bad odour, In fact, - the hotel has a damp smell in the hallways AND the rooms. We decided to abandon the stay at this hotel due to the combination of the bad smell and the aircon issues, no way were we staying here. We are still fighting for a refund on the factual basis that we booked a room with aircon and theirs had been broken for (at least) 2 days beforehand, other guests informed us. The Manager on front desk said, "these guys are leaving too" - we were not the only ones abandoning their stay. There are some articles on line about the owners and the finances of the hotel, which you ought to also read.

Alec was so nice, he support us in everything we needed during our stay.

Good location

Very noisy with bar next door AND staff they said they could get me a taxi to cruise terminal approximately $30 (similar to an Uber) should have confirmed with driver he charged me $60 so big rip off and untrustworthy staff

It was in a decent location but in a very noisy position surrounded by loud bars and music

We booked a sea view room as a treat and when arrived we’re told the one we’d booked wasn’t sea view. The sea view room we booked was confirmed by Bookings. com but the hotel said it was an error on their advertisement and basically tough luck. 🤷‍♂️. Staff were generally grumpy and obviously stressed, one receptionist did give us a smile and was helpful but otherwise staff were not approachable. We paid a security deposit of $200 dollars which were told would be returned within 10 days but even after 4 messages to the hotel after 1 month still no deposit back. After several messages to Bookings. Com who contacted the hotel several times themselves deposit finally returned. Location is good but very noisy, staff grumpy and be careful booking rooms. Other guests have had money withheld so be careful. Photos of the view from our ‘Sea view’ Room !!
