"Gem of a hotel"

I love the location of this hotel and the staff! We had a stop on our way south and this hotel had great reviews so we booked it and it didn’t disappoint .Warren was at the front desk and was so helpful in restaurant recommendations.Our room was quiet and the outside pool/patio area in so quaint and cozy. I would definitely stay again!

"Hotel smells"

It’s a perfect location, been every year for the last 8 years. Quiet and clean

The lobby as soon as you walk has an overwhelming fragrance. It is so pungent. I have asthma and allergies and it was very uncomfortable for me. I even inquired and was told that there are air fresheners (mango) at the lobby and that housekeeping using downy unstoppables in the vacuums. I had to cover my face every time I walked out of my room. I understand that people think it isn’t offensive but for many people, overwhelming perfumes or cleaning smells, candles or air fresheners are a health issue. The staff asked me after I mentioned it to them if they wanted someone to come spray febreeze in my room. Again missing the point. Sadly as much as I like the hotel I will not be coming back because of the fragrance issue.
