Residence Inn Corpus Christi

The front desk staff and the lady overseeing the daily breakfast were outstanding. Friendly, helpful and courteous would be my best way to describe them. The breakfast was very good. Tasty food with a nice variety of options!

Our room was spacious and laid out well BUT the bed was awful as well as the couch. The mattress on the bed was hard as a rock. I absolutely could not get comfortable and could not sleep due to being in pain. The couch was equally hard. Also, the hallways smelled highly deoderized My eyes started burning and I began coughing each time I stepped out of our room and upon our arrival back to the hotel.

Loved how nice the property was! The breakfast was also always super tasty! The only issues were that we found a cockroach there; they came and sprayed the next morning. I also called about there being a bee in my room and no one ever came. My cat almost got stung and I had to take care of it myself. Honestly, other than that, it wasn't that bad.

Horrendous. I can’t even begin to list the plethora of issues with this place. This hotel needs to shut down and be entirely renovated asap!!! Peeling paint and wallpaper, every single room door paint chipping, worn out carpeting, water damaged ceilings that haven’t been fixed for probably years, etc. The fridge in our room has about 50 dents on the front! Our tv doesn’t even turn on. And let’s not forget the worst, STAINS on our sheets AND every towel and washcloth!!! Just disgusting!! I am 56 years old and have stayed in hotels, motels, AirBnBs and B&Bs all over the world and have NEVER seen stains on ALL the linens!! Buy some god dang BLEACH for crap sake!! I cannot believe that Marriott would allow its name to be used on this poor excuse for a hotel. I wouldnt even expect this from a Motel6!! So much for the Marriott name brand! Means nothing, obviously! I am totally shocked that people have given this place a “very good” Rating!! Where?! Please tell me!

Wall paper was peeling in kitchen, no towels when we arrived front desk lady said there was towels in the room 😳… luckily I had brought my own beach towels, because we were supposed to go relax on the beach… She said she found us some pool towels. I was glad she ended up giving us some kind of towels. She did go out of her way to give me a spatula to cook with my son is autistic and his routine was a pancake at night. Hallways smelled of mold so sad. Property was ok .

NOTHING! they didn’t even have our room available!

We didn’t even stay here. When we arrived to check in at 3pm, they did not have our room available. They said the AC went out and they didn’t have another room available. Traveling with a family with 2 kids, we reserved a two bedroom suite. Drove 5 hours from Houston on spring break week with nowhere to stay!!!! I was infuriated!!! And Marriott will be hearing from me as well.

The staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful. The breakfast selection was decent. The area has a lot of shopping and eating options.

Upon arrival we found the toilet was leaking. We reported this immediately to the front desk, but nothing was done until the next day, when they had to move us to another room because repairs could not be completed (all very accommodating, but it was an annoyance). The new room had a dripping showerhead but was at least an improvement. Everything is a bit dingy and dinged up. The side door closest to the shopping center did not lock, despite having signage stating a keycard was needed to open. The "hot" breakfast items were never actually hot. I would not book here again, too many other options in town.
