Best Western Montrose Inn

Good hotel at a decent price. We wanted a place close to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and this place fit the bill. My biggest complaint is the pool. Front desk staff told us the pool was heated to 86 degrees, but it was like a polar plunge. We could not swim in it. There is no hot tub. Breakfast was good.

Indoor Pool was closed for repair ,elevator was closed, cable TV went down at 715 pm and didn't come back on until after I went to bed at 1030pm. I booked this hotel mostly for the indoor pool. At check in the front desk agent never informed me of the pool being closed. I checked the booking app it said it would be open during my stay. I asked at checkout for compensation (reduced room rate) for stated amenities that were not provided. Front desk agent refused and said Gm wouldn't give any reduction as well. I'm very disappointed in the Best Western brand and the management in this establishment. If you can't provide the amenities and services in your hotel description you should verbally inform guests so they can make the decision to keep or not to keep their reservation. I would not stay here again. Your customers/ guests are the reason you're in business have you forgotten that?

Don’t stay here! Jacuzzi is not warm. Door did not lock due to the door frame was bent. Right above the pool and the noise came right up into the room through the shower drain. Nothing was plugged in and the room smelt dirty and made us feel dirty. Go anywhere else!
