"12 nights in paradise"

10.0

We had an absolutely amazing stay at RIU Palace Maldives for 12 wonderful nights. Everything exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The food was excellent with a great variety every day, and the four à la carte restaurants were a real highlight — each one felt special and consistently delivered top quality. The resort is also incredibly well maintained: spotless cleanliness, perfect housekeeping, and impressive attention to detail throughout our villa and the entire property. But the biggest added value of this hotel is without any doubt the staff. The team is genuinely kind, welcoming, and helpful everywhere you go. Everyone speaks great English and always tries their best to make things easy and comfortable. A special thank you to Ana, Sanju, and Paju at the Paradise Bar — they made our days even better with their warm energy and outstanding service. We also truly enjoyed a jet ski trip with Fadi (name starting with “F”) — it was such a fun experience and one of the best memories from our holiday. Overall, RIU Palace Maldives gave us the perfect mix of luxury, comfort, great food, and incredible hospitality. We would love to come back again.

"Grateful"

10.0

My name is Nina, and I want to speak directly to the RIU team who stood with us during the most devastating moment of my friend T’s life. What was supposed to be a beautiful vacation turned into unimaginable heartbreak when T received a call from the United States telling her that her son had passed away. In that moment, everything stopped. I didn’t know how to help her, how to hold her grief, or what to do next — and I was deeply afraid for her. You stepped in with compassion, calm, and humanity when we needed it most. Andy, you did not just do your job — you got down on the floor with T, stayed with her, consoled her, and made sure she was safe when she could barely stand. Your presence, patience, and kindness brought calm into absolute devastation. I will never forget what you did. To the security officer who stood quietly outside her room for hours — thank you. Your silent compassion, your protection, and your respect for her privacy spoke louder than words ever could. To the gentleman who immediately tried to help us secure an earlier flight home — thank you for moving with urgency and care when our world had stopped. To the front desk team — your condolences were not just words. You ensured medical support was on standby to help manage T’s high blood pressure, showing genuine concern for her health and safety during shock and grief. And for me — thank you for making sure I was not alone. You supported me while I tried to stay strong for my friend, checked in on me, guided me through the next steps, and reminded me through your actions that compassion still exists. In that moment, RIU became more than a hotel. You became a place of safety, dignity, and real human care. During the darkest moment imaginable, you treated us with empathy, patience, and heart — and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you for showing us what true hospitality and humanity look like when it matters most. Thank you All

"Amazing"

10.0

Just returned following 12 night stay with 8 and 2yo and had an amazing experience. The rooms were immaculate, and the entire island was maintained to an exceptionally high standard — everything felt pristine and beautifully cared for. The staff truly made the stay special. Everyone was warm, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The restaurant team were outstanding, especially with allergies; meals were freshly prepared for our daughter, which we greatly appreciated and gave us peace of mind. Special call outs to Edi the Chef and Shifaz, the restaurant manager for being so attentive. The beaches were stunning. We regularly saw baby black tip sharks and plenty of fish right from the shore. We also so regularly saw stingrays as well as some adult sharks. We also went on a dolphin trip and were lucky enough to see lots of dolphins, which was a real highlight of our stay. The only minor downside for us was the water sports. The snorkelling trip didn’t quite compare to other islands we’ve visited, mainly due to poor visibility, but this didn’t take away from the overall experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful island with exceptional service, attention to detail, and a truly memorable atmosphere.

"10 days in paradise!"

10.0

10 days in paradise! If you’re considering a stay at RIU Maldives, I’d definitely say it’s worth it. Everything is done to an outstanding level by an amazing, large & friendly team. Our room cleaner Sameeya, always left our room immaculate with amazing new towel art every day. The restaurant staff all ensure you have the best meal and experience, Najah mainly served us most days however everyone in the restaurant is very attentive. All of the bar team, Anu, Poonum, Puja, Triushan, Teguh and Sanju were especially great just to name a few but all are incredibly kind and interesting people. I ended up trying a lot of “special” cocktails and not one missed the mark! All the food we ate was incredible, always a large selection in the buffet at all three meal times and the speciality restaurants were also a great experience. The island itself is beautiful and you’re able to see some of the sea life close to the beach. It goes without saying, we would love to come again in the future. The whole experience is so well thought out, but it really is the wonderful team that make it so special!!

"Fantastic place"

10.0

Excellent Hotel/Resort everything exceeded our expectations. First class service, the staff really make your holiday special. The bar staff are a great team always greeting us with a smile and go out of their way to accommodate all your needs so hard working. Puja is very attentive an excellent member of the team there is also Chamod and Desy and ask Pasi to show you his dance moves, that names just a few. But each and every staff member made our holiday special for us. Our room cleaner Chamara was exceptional too and gave us wonderful towel art everyday and a spotless room to come back too. Could not fault any of the food in any of the restaurants or buffet.

"Looking forward"

My wife and I are going to the Palce for 3 weeks at end of Feb 26, really looking forward to it. We always stay at a RIU hotel, because of the staff, the food and attention to detail. We are currently at the Palace in Cape Verde, again it is excellent. Roll on February Has anyone flown direct with BA, normally would go Emirates. Anything we should take note of?

"Brilliant Experience"

10.0

The RIU Palace Maldıvas ıs a fabulous place to stay. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with all the amenities that are required. The view we had was stunning. We visited the Japanese (Yuhi) and the world quisien restaurant (Krystal), both of these you need to book, but the experience and food are excellent. It is difficult to pick out specific staff for a special mention as all of them were brilliant and helpful, but first we would like to say thank you to Marta, who made up our room every day with special towel art it was really good. The bar staff at the palace end were brilliant, but Punar Sanju Pasi and Punan made our experience especially good. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and special. A special thanks must go to the buggie drivers who were there in rain or shine, taking guests and staff between the islands. Even though we had some minor problems with the room the maintenance staff were efficient and responded quickly, so it did not spoil the holiday. So to all the staff thank you for makıng our vısıt to the RIU Palace Maldıvas specıal

"Great place to holiday"

10.0

I'll keep this brief because I've read through some of the other read some of the other, detailed reviews and would only be repeating them. In summary, it's a great holiday! Food pretty good with a wide choice of cuisine. Specialist restaurants were fine but not hugely better than the buffet. Staff, without exception friendly and genuinely wanted guests to enjoy their stay. A special mention for Daisy and Puja at the pool bar/terrace, who were fantastic - that's not to suggest the others there were lacking in any way, I'm just rubbish at remembering names. Plenty of room everywhere (although this was the end on the rainy season), so it never felt busy or rushed. One evening I found myself talking to one of the managers and learned that the resort was at over 90% occupancy so it's not going to be bad in 'high season'. Agree with others that the Palace end is calmer than the Atoll, which felt like some other resorts that I've been to and not enjoyed so much. But the Atoll has most of the extras - a couple of the restaurants, diving/watersports centre and spa/gym. The latter is good and it's nice to watch the sun going down from the gym. Overall, would happily go back again. Thanks to everyone there who made it a great holiday.

"The most Beautiful place.. but a few improvements needed"

10.0

Starting with the amazing things… the hotel, the beaches, the staff at the palace and the island itself couldn’t be better. Service is 10/10 at the palace, the staff are always happy and friendly. They will do anything they can to make sure you’re stay is the best it could be and take care of all the finer details. The rooms are very nice, spacious, clean, loads of room for everything.. they are always cleaned very well. The beach is paradise, clean and the sea surrounding the whole island is the best. Snorkelling is amazing, sharks, turtles, sting rays and you can swim anywhere to explore. Pool staff are fantastic at the palace, Anu took care of us for 10 days and makes the best drinks and bar staff are amazing… they make sure they know you very well from day 1 and you’re never waiting for a drink long. The entertainment at palace isn’t much, they have a good DJ every evening for sunset but they should definitely have that longer as they are on for an hour. It’s very quiet in this area in general which fits the vibe but it could do with more upbeat music, especially in the evening. They do have bands play now and again but feel it needs to be more. The food selection is very good for breakfast and lunch, I’m not a massive buffet lover but the buffet is the best food available which isn’t the norm, the other restaurants are lacking quality in my opinion, service is always very good but the selection and quality of food is not great for a 5*. The other resultants on the other side are hit and miss, Sophia’s was really poor but the steakhouse when we 2 of the 3 times we went to the steakhouse it was very good, the steak not great but the other options was very tasty. The other side is much livelier but is not the same quality, they have good parties in the evening and I think the pool area is better located because it’s right on the seafront with more sun and breeze. It’s definitely worth extra to stay in the palace side and then have option to go over. The sports bar is okay with a couple of pool tables but the English sports on there aren’t watchable because of the signal… weird that it’s only football that you can’t watch properly. I also find some of the staff over that side not as good as the palace side. I Like the shuttles between the island as in the evening it’s abit of a treck in the heat to walk! Overall it’s well worth the money for the island and for the staff. Didn’t know what I expected coming to the Maldives but they are amazing and so friendly. The only downside after a long flight is a wait in the airport for a plane and then another wait for a boat but once you’re here it’s the best!! We stayed in a beach apartment and it’s lovely, the overwater villas look great but 3 apartments on one villa I would be disappointed to have it not as private as the pictures make out for that money. Overall, an amazing trip… we didn’t come here for the food and with that approach it’s better. I would definitely come back if the chance comes up.
