Batatu Resort - Adults Only

My wife and I stayed at Batatu Resort in Lombok, and it ended up being our favorite place during our whole trip through Indonesia. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm and welcoming, and we immediately wished we could stay longer. We loved the concept with the private villas. Having your own space makes such a big difference, and it felt very peaceful and relaxing the entire time. The resort is a bit off the main street, which makes it really quiet — perfect if you want to switch off, slow down, and just enjoy the surroundings. The staff was also amazing. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and always around when we needed something, but never in a way that felt intrusive. You can tell they really care about the guests and want you to feel comfortable. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. Out of all the places we stayed in Indonesia, this was the one we enjoyed the most. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful, and relaxing place in Lombok, I can really recommend Batatu Resort. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the resort. The premises are huge, clean, and very well maintained, which made the environment very pleasant and relaxing. Communication with the team was also very friendly and convenient via WhatsApp, and they were always prompt in responding to any requests or questions. Overall, a very comfortable and well-managed place to stay.

One small area for improvement would be the bedding, as the mattress and pillows were a little soft for our preference. We also encountered some insects during our stay, which is understandable given the natural surroundings. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable stay and we appreciated the attentive service from the team.

Spacious, well appointed villa stay - everything i needed was available within a good range of price. Most of the staff were very friendly.

The bedding was not really to my liking, but was ok. Some damp and mouldy patches around the bathroom and exterior - but there was just recently a lot of heavy rain. There is no spa or wellness options within the area - and when I asked the reception if they have any massage contact for coming to the resort they just told me I can find one myself in Kuta.

We stayed 8 nights and booked a villa with a private pool. From the moment you arrive you’re welcomed with a big smile and that’s the general theme. All the staff are polite friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They run a very efficient system that involves a WhatsApp group personal to yourself and you can order anything off the extensive menu to be delivered to your room or poolside and it’s was all delicious. Fresh food and at a reasonable cost. The villa we were given had a lovely outdoor seating area with a little kitchen that had a kettle a microwave and fridge. Fresh water replenished every day and the fridge was stocked with alcohol and soft drinks all at reasonable prices. Basically you paid for what you used at the end of your stay. The bed was really comfy and showering in the open was a nice touch. The shower had plenty of hot water and was really spacious. The pool was lovely. Nice for a dip after been out all day. We hired a scooter from the hotel which was good and we toured around the island which is east to get around. The hotel is an about ten mins out of Kuta but it’s more among local life rather than the town. End of the road is a supermarket and petrol station about a five min walk. If you like to eat out there are local places within walking distance. Would we stay here again. Definitely yes it’s really good value for what we paid and as we were touring Asia it was nice to have a little bit of luxury.

Nothing to dislike. What you have to remember is these places are running all year round and need constant upkeep
