Hilton Suites Ocean City Oceanfront

We stayed here over Father's Day weekend, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The hotel was basically sold out, so we were assigned an accessible suite with a separate bedroom and living room. The room itself was spacious, which was great for our family of four, especially since we also ordered a rollaway bed. However, the room was very outdated, and cleanliness was lacking. The bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly, and when we pulled out the sofa bed, we found popcorn inside. We spent the entire day out enjoying Father's Day activities. When we returned that evening, we discovered there was barely any hot water and almost no water pressure. After calling the front desk, we were told to let the sink and shower run for a while. The water eventually became lukewarm, but never truly hot. To make matters worse, the shower handle was broken and spun in circles, so we had to keep adjusting it to find any warmth at all. When I called the front desk again, I was told the maintenance staff had already left for the evening, and there was nothing else they could do. As a result, our entire family had to take cold showers. The next morning at 7:30 a.m., maintenance arrived. One technician said the water would get hot if we held the broken handle in just the right spot and promised to contact a plumber about the water pressure. Nothing happened. A second maintenance worker later came and couldn't get the water hot either. Hours passed with little communication until the front desk finally offered us a different room and complimentary breakfast. The second room had functioning hot water and better water pressure, but the bathroom still wasn't cleaned to the standard I would expect from a Hilton property. By this point, a large portion of our Father's Day was spent dealing with room issues instead of enjoying our vacation. As for amenities, the resort offers two outdoor pools, including one with a kiddie slide, an indoor pool, an arcade, a gym, an on-site restaurant, room service, bike rentals, bell service, and direct beach access. One of the outdoor pools also features a swim-up bar, and food and drink service is available poolside, which was a nice touch and one of the highlights of the stay. One thing to note is that the beach is public, and guests must pay extra to rent beach chairs and umbrellas. For a resort property, I would have expected those items to be included and for the beach experience to feel more exclusive. For me, the bed and bathroom are the most important parts of any hotel stay, and this property missed the mark in both areas. While the resort has some great amenities, the outdated rooms, cleanliness concerns, and lack of hot water significantly impacted our experience. Cleanliness: 2/5 ⭐⭐ Amenities: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall Stay: 3/5 ⭐⭐⭐ I probably would not return unless the rooms receive significant updates and the housekeeping standards improve.

The hotel was wonderful and had fantastic pools and access to the beach. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening, and the server & bartender were great because we hung out at the bar for awhile after dinner. Front desk staff members that we dealt with were also really great.

It was truly not the fault of the hotel, but my husband & I both had the flu for the majority if our stay, but we tried to make the best of it the staff were very helpful in trying to help us get through it and still have the best time possible.

Horrid room for the money. Mattress sank. Place was filthy.

The customer service here was excellent. Alison and Arnel were especially helpful with a billing issue and a minor repair to my room’s sliding glass door. I look forward to returning here next summer.

Staff is terrible pool is dated and no carts to get luggage to your room- the holiday inn is much much better
