SUPER CLEAN!!!Felt very safe, that means alot when traveling alone. Friendly staff at front desk, had the answer to all questions. I had the best Margherita of my life, truly, at the bar right after I checked in. Super personable bartender and then a female bartender came on as it started to get busy and she was terrific as well. Loved the location close to the arena for the college graduation. Everything was excellent.

Shampoo and body wash was VERY masculine scented. I brought little bottles of my own so I was really glad about that. That is the only thing that was not good but I foresaw that possibility and it worked out.

The location is a great as it is a short walk to Van Andel arena. We had tickets to a concert. A bit pricey. Parking not on site but across the street behind another parking garage. Not ideal.

This hotel was the best I have ever stayed at. The beds are soft and pillows are too. The hydration station is clean with hospital ice. And the food at the bar was wonderful, had the shrimp and meatballs.

Notes on my stay (City View Room w/ 1 King Bed): -Room and bathroom were very clean -Lobby/bar area is small, but cute. A DJ was spinning on both nights of my stay. Did not love that guests also have to pay a cover (albeit, only $5) -I'm not sure what the room cleaning protocol is, as I did not need any -I had a TERRIBLE night's sleep due to the loud drag racing that I could hear very clearly from my room (I was several floors up). Hotel needs to lobby for some drag racing control/monitoring or something. A true nuisance. -Hotel is pricey in my opinion, but I noticed that it's on the lower price end for other comparable hotels in the area (I guess I don't understand why hotels cost so much in Grand Rapids :)
