Spark by Hilton Tampa Brandon

I like the location the fact that it was an inside hotel that you could enter from the inside and not from the outside the staff was friendly. The room was very clean. It was a good stay for a short stay in Brandon. I lived in Tampa and I had never seen it but it’s a cute little cottage hotel For a short stay when I come to see my friends

The only thing I can say I did not like is I showed up at 1 o’clock in the afternoon from a long drive and I asked if I could check in. I thought I requested early check-in and she said I requested late check-in. Your check-in is listed in military time. I don’t speak military time as I’m not in the military. I came back at 2:50 PM and she still would not let me check in a couple came in right as it hit 3 o’clock and she waited on them first I really didn’t appreciate it considering I had waited two hours to check in. I think you need to be a little more lenient with your check in policy. They are at larger hotels I am from New York, and they do not hold people to such a stringent Schedule schedules change and people arrive earlier and I even had my luggage and she didn’t even offer to keep it at the desk that needs improvement. It was more the attitude than the actual rule of check-in but I don’t like traveling in traffic so I show up earlier in the afternoon , there were rooms available and I think that she should have lifted the rule since I came only two hours earlier, so I did not like that also your hundred dollar deposit has not lifted off of my debit card and my bank account yet. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the room when I left I would appreciate it lifting off of my debit card for there’s no reason for it to be on there in the first place.

They were kind and patient just great. C We recently lost our home to fire and the Brandon hotel was amazing to us. Class act

The breakfast was not great. We were served pancakes without any syrup, even after I asked if they had any, which they did not. The bananas were ruined and the oranges had no taste.

There was no exhaust fan in our bathroom, nor was there a mirror in the room. There was one in the bathroom, but it made it hard for the family to get ready with just one mirror. We all had to wait for each other to get ready. Our trash wasn’t taken out, we had to stop by the desk every night to get clean towels, & beds were never made for the 3 nights we were there, even after I kindly asked. I had to stop a house cleaning woman in the hallway and hand her our dirty towels.

The room was perfect. The staff was way friendlier than in other hotels.

The breakfast. It was supposed to be a 7am to 10am breakfast but in reality it is a 7 to 8 breakfast. I went down for it at 8:40am and was unable to enjoy it. The coffee was between warm and cold, no HOT as it should be. There were not pancakes already. The were like 5 omelets left and 2 small, like a quarte of it, pieces of bacon left. No bread available.

The room was clean and updated.

Breakfast was ok.
