Quality Inn near MCAS Cherry Point

We were booked a suite ..we received a room with 2 beds upstairs no elevator it smelled bad,they switched us to a room down stairs we c checked the bed and it was soiled with blood there was dirt everywhere

The filth

Staff was wonderful. Had a great time. No problems. Hotel was clean up-to-date and seem to be well taken care of. And it was also very quiet and the staff at the front desk especially Sue was extremely kind and considerate.

Could’ve been better! Our stay started on Sunday the 1st and ended Monday the 9th and cost us over $850 that I now wish we spent elsewhere. The property itself was really nice for what it is until Thursday came… On Thursday there was a decent amount of rain and I didn’t think anything of it until I heard a dripping noise around 9:30pm. I got out of bed to see what was dripping, turn out it was the ceiling. After finding the leak I started looking at the ceiling more intently and noticed this definitely wasn’t the first time this happened. The lady at the front desk moved us to the room across the hall. This room was not any better as the curtains weren’t on the window properly and I had to use a hair clip to keep them shut. The bed was horribly worn in the middle and no matter how close to the edge you were you rolled into the middle. We were already exhausted and just wanted to sleep so we stayed there for the night and decided to deal with it in the morning. When we got up for the day I went back down and the lady was very understanding and gave us a new room and told me to come back after getting our belongings moved over and we would talk about some kind of compensation. Here is why my review is a rant not a rave… She said she was contacting her higher up and would get back in contact with me. I didn’t hear anything back that day so the next day I went down to the desk and it was a different person. I asked her for an update about the situation and she acted like she h

Breakfast

Bed was comfortable. Nice breakfast. Staff was nice.

Room smelled very musty and tv/remote didn't work well. Room was too pricey. Not so bad that I wouldn't go back.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. Our rooms were side by side because we have a big family with 2 adults and 5 children. We were cozy in our separate rooms but we couldn't stay long because we arrived at 9:30 PM the night before and checked out by 5:10 AM. The Inn serves breakfast at 7:00 AM, but we had to leave extra early to drive to a ferry at Cedar Island. We still had a restful night.

The door frame of our room (204) needed to be repaired. There was a huge gap between the door frame and door that someone could actually peek through if they felt inclined to do so. The toilet in room 204 had some issues and wasn't flushing. The employee said that the maintenance staff was gone at that hour (at least we had 2 rooms and another toilet). So my husband looked and it was a simple fix. The tank wouldn't refill with water because the float in the tank was getting stuck. This was only a minor situation, however, and our night's rest was good overall.

This was the worst quality inn that i have stayed at anywhere in the country. Staff was horrible and beyond unhelpful and it was very difficult to communicate with them. over $300 in extra fees, and the property smelled like mildew, and the 2 queen beds are really 2 full size beds
