Quality Inn near MCAS Cherry Point

I didn’t even stay the night with my kids because we all felt unsafe. The adjacent buildings had many abandoned buildings, the shades in the hotel, from the outside were crooked, the smell walking in hit you in the face with moisture, the parking lot was nearly empty except for construction vehicles parked towards the back, the door to the room was partially opened when we went to walk in, and then when we turned on the light, it was flashing/flickering, so we all decided there was no way we could stay there for the night because we all felt unsafe. So I my children and I walked out. I said I’m checking out and shared that the door wasn’t locked and the light was flickering and just said thank you, but we can’t stay here. We ended up driving down the road and stayed at the holiday inn express. It was clean, the area was safe, and we all felt safe.

No elevator. Lumpy bed. Air was warm in room.

The mattress was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good. They had multiple options of cereal, eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee and tea. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice.The staff was very friendly. What we didn’t like was that we brought our small dog. Booking.com did not provide a dog charge on the listing. When we arrived we were told it was $50 per night, plus a $50 deposit which we still have not received back. We’ve taken our dog to numerous hotels in the past and never paid this much. For mostly that reason we would not go back.

Loud stomping and jumping on the floor above us and had to call the front desk. It did stop thereafter. Hefty price for a pet.

Starting off checking in was easy. The ONLY white lady that worked the counter was very nice and helpful. Maybe okay to stay for 1 night quickly but we stayed from Saturday til Friday. Our trash was never taking out until it piled so high. The bathroom was horrible, mold everywhere. The air messed up in our first room so the moved us. The 2nd room was just as bad including the mold beside the bed on the floor in the pics. Neither room had the sheets changed nor the floor cleaned all week until I swept it myself! The pool WE cleaned every time we used it. Not to mention the chairs broke every time we sat in them outside. Lastly the free breakfast is cookies muffins cereal or waffles. We asked about things like eggs and such and was NEVER had food there the whole week! I don’t recommend at all honestly. I don’t do reviews like this normally but this was the worse experience in a long time!

The room cleanliness and condition was terrible. I couldn’t sleep because of the room smell, the floor was sticky.

Easy check in, helpful staff, wi-fi signal was weak but there was a Tropical Storm that may have affected that..

The room and bathroom were a decent size and seemed clean. No carpet in room which was great with pets.

No elevator and ice machine is at the very end of the building.
