Quality Inn near MCAS Cherry Point

It was the closest thing we could find to Atlantic Beach on a short notice. The staff were all so friendly and kind.

The only thing I did not like is that our bathroom let out a sewage smell strongly to the point it would give me a headache but keeping the bathroom door helped. The floor in my room was pretty dirty I walked from the bed to bathroom in white sock and they were black on the bottom when I got back to the bed. The only thing I can say that just truly bothered me was the sewage smell from the bathroom it was really bad.

If I could give zero stars, I’d be happy to. The only delightful person at this hotel was Sue who willingly went above and beyond. Seems like she was the only one that knew what she was doing also. Now about the hotel room: mold, in the bathrooms from the walls, to the vents to the pipes. It makes sense because they don’t have daily room maintenance. It was a hassle just asking for towels because they didn’t have extras available. Our towel rack in the bathroom was hanging on by a mere thread and fell as soon as I reached for a washcloth. In our original room (on the second floor), we found a waterbug, cockroach and spider. We then realized that the room was properly sealed because the air condition hole wasn’t secured. The overnight staff were sitting in the lobby area (not behind the front desk), with their feet on the couches, making it feel like we were inconveniencing them when we asked for necessities. Asked for a discount on the room due to creepy crawlers in my bed and the best thing they said they can do was offer a 10% discount on my next stay in North Carolina. No care or understanding in the world about the reason why.

The quality of the hotel was average at best; to include being a two story facility, without an elevator for the disabled.

There was black mold in the room, leaking wall units, dirty floors, gross mattress.pieces of wall missing around outlets. Dirty fixtures in bathroom.

Our service was exceptional, the staff was very kind, helpful, friendly! The room is a standard size. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Nice little pool and workout room. The breakfast is fine and has everything you need to get the day started right. It's close to Cherry Point which is a huge bonus.

It is dated, needs remodeling, especially the bathrooms. If you want really nice place with a beautiful neighborhood this isn't your spot. The staff makes up for the inadequacies.
