Quality Inn near MCAS Cherry Point

The bed was comfortable and there was a decent bathroom shower and hot water.

I got there and it looked abandoned or spooky. there were a couple of cars I was afraid to go in the lobby and almost didnt .Upon walking in the desk clerk was in a green t shirt and looked like he just go off a construction job. Barely spoke. no elevator fortunately I could walk my bag up the stairs. The carpet on the stairs is filthy and hallway smells like curry. I bit like a 3rd world country experience. I didn't feel at all safe to go in the pool. When I booked online the price jumped from $90 all in to $122 all in and I couldn't change it. That was frustrating. The eggs tasted fake.

**RUDE EMPLOYEES AND WORSE MANAGER/ OWNER!** We stayed there last year and really enjoyed ourselves; the staff was kind, the rooms were clean, the manager was an elder woman that was so kind and helpful. PRESENT DAY; The entire building wreaks of mold and cig smoke. The young Indian girl at the desk was incredibly rude with a bad attitude, never smiled or made eye contact once. Ontop that, nobody spoke or understood English well so it was extremely frustrating trying to communicate with anyone working. The room she gave us hadnt been cleaned from previous guest and was dirty. Went back to the desk to explain we needed a different room and why but she didnt undrstnd Same rude girl had THE NERVE to say "I think you just dont like room and possibly want some type discount. You are not getting one. You dont have to stay here as there are other hotels in town" At that point, I was done being talked down to by someone a third my age that has no respect or common courtesy and askd to speak to the manager, only for her to tell me "it will do no good as he is my boyfriend" He finally appeared 25 mins later and although he was ruder than she was, he was able to understand and gave us another room, which was absolutely horrible. The room smelled like a combination of wet dog and mold. Used wet towels hanging behind bathroom door, shower had mold and roaches came out at night. Morning came and breakfast was disappointing; waffles but no syrup or butter, no juices, milk was empty and couldn't find anybody to fill or replace it, and coffee machine poured water, no coffee. We decided take up their offer and leave, go to another hotel, enough was enough. Told same RUDE male manager (from night before) we were checking out early and gave him a list of reasons (like roaches in the room and breakfast) and he actually accused us of bringing the roaches with us in our luggage! He proceeded to say he's not required to give butter/ jelly/ syrup for the waffles and we could've bought them at the gas station next door if we wanted them that bad. While checking out, I asked him for the Choice Hotel phone number and was making a complaint but was told don't bother calling them, Evidentally this is a "Franchise Hotel and Choice doesn't have any control with how it operates" He wouldn't give me his name (not one employee had name tags or uniforms on) was quick to tell me he is not just the hotel GM but also the OWNER of the hotel. This place a year ago was nice with friendly people working and it was clean. They must've sold it because now it's run down, dirty and owned by an Indian man and wife that have NO IDEA of customer service or proper attire to wear at work because he literally was dressed in a pair of sweat pants with a hole, a wrinkled tshirt and flip flops. I guess they let anyone buy a hotel these days wo knowing how to properly run or manage it. It's a shame but IM STILL CALLING CHOICE.

My fiancé had to walk up stairs didn’t recall any stairs mentioned he is a disabled veteran who has had several knee replacement! We were given a gesture to leave the property without a refund. To contact third party! Hostess wasn’t pleasant! And let your people know about there $150.00 DEPOSIT before they check in because they don’t give confirmation you were there and not all people carry extra funds to get robbed all the time! We made the best of our stay even thought them knees on fire!

Everything , the room did not look like it was ever cleaned.

Room had unusual odor, charged fees in addition to room charge, tub was dirty, room needs repair, has second floor but no elevator. Bed was hard food tolerable.
