The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa

Hotel was nice as expected, clean. Unfortunately I can not give the resort - good ratings considering the dog barking all evening and the pool being closed unexpectedly. We did call the front desk about the dog but they told us they were unable to get a hold of the dog’s owner and have been trying for 2 hours. Also the large pool was closed from 11-5 to “balance chemicals “. Def not the relaxing weekend we were expecting.

The location is absolutely perfect and easy to access, though I’ll be honest—the exterior doesn’t immediately wow you. But the moment you step through those front doors, everything shifts. You’re greeted with warmth, excellence, and a resort atmosphere that invites you to truly retreat, revive, and relax. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The towels were a bit on the firm side, and housekeeping requires a request—and even then, the cleaning didn’t quite meet my personal standard. That said, we booked at a discounted rate, not the full $600 per night, and to be fair, this is not a $600‑per‑night property. Still, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. What really won me over were the nightly treats available for purchase and the outdoor social scene. It was the perfect balance: no disruptive noise, but plenty of conversation, music, and good energy floating through the space. Overall, it’s a place with heart, comfort, and a vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer

Location close to shopping and restaurants is fantastic!

Adult pool was closed for renovations and we were not told. Remaining pool chairs were covered in bird pool and not cleaned.

Her attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to customer satisfaction is amazing. When I learned she would be continuing in this role with the Kierland Marriott for CEoT 2026, I knew I could move forward with our attendee housing with complete confidence. Lobby and lunge areas were really nice. Outside bar was open late, and a fun place to end the day. Firepits and comfortable seating.

For a relatively expensive hotel, surprised that parking was $30/day and wi-fi wasn't free? Seems a little nickel and dimey...

Everything was absolutely perfect! It created such a great vibe for a girls’ trip. My sister and I went, and it was so cozy. We went to the spa, had a beautiful dinner at a restaurant one of the girls recommended, and it was just a beautiful night.

Each December, I have the luxury to travel to Scottsdale for an annual work conference. This year, the conference was held in a new location– the Westin Kierland. I was very excited to visit this property as I had not been here in a very long time. The Westin Kierland is a beautiful spot with lots of activities, food outlets, and comfortable hotel rooms. I hope the conference decides to host here annually as I had a great stay! Pros: - Very comfortable bed with an actual comforter and blanket! This made me so happy as every hotel now gives you a heavy top sheet as your comforter. This was a very pleasant surprise at the Westin Kierland and kept me warm and comfy when sleeping - Fantastic area in room to work with excellent size desk - plenty of outlets nearby desk too - Couch in room was a great size if someone needed to sleep there - So. Many. Activities. (See photo) I wish I was not there for work because I would have participated in so many! Cons: - Some rooms are VERY far away from lobby and event space. My was a good 10 minute walk Recommendations: - No notes! 😊 I had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Westin and cannot wait to go back!

We are halfway through our weekend stay but wanted to write a review during my downtime while the kids are enjoying the pool. We booked this hotel to celebrate our kids’ birthdays with a few of their friends, and the staff has been wonderful to make them feel special! When we arrived, they provided an upgraded room for us and in our room were some wonderful treats they curated for my kids birthdays along with some coupons for some Christmas treats and drinks and a very thoughtful, hand written card. Later, although I didn’t hear the knock, they also delivered under the door another hand written card from the guest experiences team that they clearly spent some time on, with hand-drawings and colors that put smiles on my kids face. This seems so silly, but that was the point! These cards weren’t just typed words on paper, but rather it was written and decorated as if one of my kids friends would’ve written and decorated the card. I am in the kind of business that tailors client experiences to create a “wow.” I’ve read (and my company lives” the book, “Unreasonable Hospitality” about the type of experiences the number one restaurant in the world curates for their guests. It is clear that this hotel has read that book and strives to make each guest feel valued, not as a number, but as a person. This is the kind of hotel I will continue to take my family to. Thank you to the Kierland Team for making my family feel special. My kids and their friends will remember this for years to come.
