The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa

One of our favorite resorts! We go every year! The rooms are a great size and the bathroom had a soaker tub and shower! The view was beautiful! We always have so much fun at the pool- especially the lazy river and slide (which sadly was broken this weekend). It's walkable to Kierland and the Quarter which has LOTs of shopping and food options!

Sub standard at the most. This hotel needs an update, housekeeping was very spotty from day to day. The front desk was helpful. The food was boring and bland. We learned quickly that it’s better to go out. I shouldn’t have to mention the TP but it was so very thin!!! It’s funny how you judge simple things, even better at the airport!! lol We won’t be going back.

Pillows are very very high

It was the off season, so the lobby bar and the scotch library were not open at all. That was a huge bummer. The outdoor Antidote bar was open but the outside temps at 108 degrees was just too hot for the outdoor bar. Also, the lazy river bar only being open on Saturdays was a bummer. Otherwise, the room was amazing, the views, the staff, the room service, all really REALLY great.

The Westin property is beautiful but some of our stay was not what I would expect from a resort in Scottsdale. I really would expect a 5-star experience. To be fair we stayed on the fourth of July, so I assume part of the issue was the crowds and the crowds from the daily Resortpass visitors. Maybe on busy holiday weekends they need to restrict the day passes. THE BEDS AT THE WESTIN ARE THE BEST AROUND. These beds are amazing. Super fluffy and comfy. The rooms are nice. The grounds are beautiful. The restaurant outside was decent, great area to sit and lounge but the food just ok and I had to send my wine back. The pool had zero lifeguards which was crazy due to how busy it was. Obviously, it is the parent's job to watch their kids around water, but in a busy place like this it would have been easy to lose a kid in seconds. Absolutely nowhere to sit anywhere at the pool. I heard multiple people complaining about this. No one was patrolling to see if people just left towels. Not enough staff at the pool for anything. We specifically went for the pool. I know other people were also complaining there were no tubes for the lazy river, we had brought our own, which was ideal. There were also no fireworks on the fourth, it was on the fifth, which was disappointing. It is summer in Arizona so maybe I should expect summer bugs, but we had three large sewer roaches in our room. They had to move us rooms at 11pm which was very inconvenient. I will say the Maintenace man that came to inspect and deal with the roaches, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The nicest most helpful guy. He immediately came to inspect and realized absolutely not, we needed to move immediately. I was tired and freaked out and wasn't thinking clearly. He grabbed our stuff, and brought us down the hall, and then went back down and grabbed a key and then let us keep our original key in case we forgot anything. He then came back up to let us know he credited our stay $200. They definitely took care of us, which I am grateful for. Things happen, but how it is handled is key. A they get an A+ for handling the situation. All in all, I would stay again, but perhaps not on a holiday.

Beautiful property. Rooms are

The resort is very spacious and has a lot of great amenities. It’s a great golf course. The pool is huge with plenty of fun activities like waterslides, surfing, and a lazy river. The rooms in the villas are very spacious for larger families. My only issues with the hotel are that the pool at the resort is poorly managed. I just assume that you should feel the resort has an obligation for you to find chairs at a pool. Unfortunately, my family was forced to pay over $100 for a chair because there were no regular chairs available. They have a good portion of chairs set aside where they price individual chairs as high as $100 per chair. We noticed that the majority of the time those chairs were on used. So it’s clearly a money grab which is a shame considering what you’re paying to stay at the resort. Pool alcohol drinks are also about $20 each and the server immediately asks “would u like to make that a tall” which is another upcharge. Water bottles or soda alone was quite expensive. Breakfast at the cafe was $50 for my wife and I - we had two avocado toasts and two coffees. And although it’s not an obligation, as platinum elite, I typically am offered a late check out. This time they were unwilling to offer any extension past 10 AM simply because they wanted the housekeeping to get in there. I can see already on a Sunday that there was not an over occupancy. Great hotel but expect to pay extras for many things.

Gorgeous resort. Spent 4th of July 2025 here with my family. Very crowded, which we did not expect. But the service was great and rooms were comfortable and clean.
