The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa

I feel compelled to write a long review. I was honestly a little worried after reading the reviews to stay here. This resort was fabulous. I cannot say enough good things. The resort is beautiful with incredible palm trees lining the entry drive. The amenities were great, we loved the fresh water and cookies in the lobby daily. Check in was very quick and the room was perfect. It not only checked all our boxes but exceeded all expectations. Clean. Comfortable. SUPER quiet. I was amazed at how tranquil the adults only pool was. The water was the perfect refreshing temperature after sitting in the hot sun. We arrived on a Friday and I’d say the pool areas were maybe 30% full, Saturday 80% full, and Sunday 30% full. All that to say we never had an issue getting chairs and umbrella where we wanted. Loved that the pool servers would bring around cups of ice water periodically. There were lots of reviews talking about dirty water. The lazy river did have some leaves and flower debris but certainly not dirty, they have great landscaping so that just goes along with it. I also loved that the pool area wasn’t blasting loud music, it was so enjoyable to be mostly quiet and relaxing. We also played pickleball a few times, and were pleasantly surprised that there was no cost to do so, even with their equipment. We cannot wait to return here with our kiddos in the future, it seemed to have lots of kid activities and other kid oriented amenities. Overall, highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I stayed here with my wife and kids at the end of a long road trip. We wanted to end with a relaxing couple of days. My wife booked the room and used a rewards upgrade. She has ambassador elite status. Marshauna Butler, who I think is a manager, came out to greet us and hooked us up with some gifts for my wife's status. Marshauna was very helpful and all around awesome. We were upgraded to a suite in a casita with 2 bedrooms and a living room. It was gorgeous. We had a great view of the pool area and we weren't far from the back entrance to it. We were at the property before July 4th so things were calm before the holiday storm, which I am sure helped with the upgrade. The service at the hotel was really great. The servers and bartenders at the pool were helpful and attentive. Room service was fast and thoughtful. The bellmen were always ready to help. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The lazy river was my favorite part of the property. I could have floated around all day. My kids enjoyed the water slide. The ground does get extremely hot when it is over 100 degrees out. All in all, we had a wonderful time. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for a stay. They know how to treat their elite status guests.

My family and I truly enjoyed our vacation at the Westin, especially the lazy river and the fun activities available on the property. However, I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness in both the bathroom facilities and the lazy river. The river was full of debris from the previous night’s rain, and unfortunately, it remained that way all day despite having reported the issue early morning. The bathrooms also had not been addressed. Additionally, I was surprised to see there was no lifeguard on duty, which is concerning for a resort of this caliber. I hope these matters can be addressed to better reflect the standards expected of the Westin experience.

Only thing was having ti pay for parking, I feel it should be covered by resort fees.

It is convenient and quiet.

The room had a large gap under the door for almost $400 not great. It was either hot or cold in the room. Food and beverages are insanely priced and not that great. $142 for mediocre lunch. There was bird poop on pool chairs, on balcony furniture….Also birds took our $10 French fries not cool. Lots of other people were given covers for food which is needed. Lastly the lazy river had so many bugs and debris I had to help pull it out of my daughter’s hair.

Avoid this place at all costs! The staff, particularly a night-shift security guard named Guy, were terrible. Guy handled a situation unprofessionally, being rude, making baseless accusations, threatening eviction and trespassing, and forcing us to leave our room for most of the night because he “knew” something else would happen when it hadn’t. His actions made us feel unwelcome and ruined our trip. We almost went and stayed somewhere else because of Guy. I sent a formal complaint email to the assistant front desk manager about Guy but received no response, showing a lack of accountability. To top it off, they charged me for daily parking without informing me while I was also paying the parking lot fee upon leaving the lot! So, I paid double what I should have, and the front desk did nothing about it when I brought it up. We’re extremely disappointed and strongly recommend choosing another hotel for a respectful and fair experience.

We had our annual girls trip here this year and it was perfect! Memorial Day weekend is very busy! We stayed until mid week so we did have a few quiet days. The hotel is beautiful. All the staff seemed friendly and welcoming. Plenty of room to move around. Very close to shops and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel!
