Mercure Cairns

Unfortunately, my recent stay at Mercure Cairns was very disappointing. The room was not properly prepared on arrival, with no towels, bath mats, or napkins provided, and the table was not clean. Despite reporting these issues, they were not resolved in a timely manner. Although another room was eventually offered, it came too late to improve the experience. Parking was also very inconvenient due to limited space, and the restaurant was under renovation with no proper dining facilities available. As an Accor Platinum member, I expected a much higher standard of service and attention to detail. Overall, it was a poor experience and not a hotel I would choose to stay at again.

the room was ready on time. pleasantly welcomed by team on desk. room was clean and tidy. everything worked. toilet and shower were clean and well presented. sufficient towels and storage avaiable. kitchen was simple and clean. would happily sta ythere again when in town on either business or holiday.

Location.

Breakfast nothing like advertised - 1 small tray of fruit, small packets of cereal and no buffet. Aircon could not be less than 24degrees. Not noise proof and room looking over Avis rental yard - could hear carwash all day. When 'checked out' was not asked about stay or if I needed taxi.

Well located with great rooms

Evans on the front reception. Easy to talk to, lot of fun, easy on the eyes!

There was not enough kitchen facilities. I felt like I was constantly asking for tea, coffee and sugar. Empty the bin every day. I think a simple toaster would be nice. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were hard and flat...a bit dated.

Great location close to the CBD

Limited parking available however it appeared to be pretty secure
