Clean, stylish and friendly hotel. We enjoyed our stay here - very comfortable. Good air con and breakfast. Great location for Midi/Zuid station. Walkable to city centre. The immediate area is ‘edgy’ and quite run-down. I don’t think I’d feel safe on my own after dark but in daylight it was OK for the two of us.

I was pleased by the hotel service and hospitality but I had a very bad experience in the area around. I was robbed in the day light and no one came for rescue. The area around the hotel is not save at all and not good for family. The hotel is in good condition but the neighborhood is very very shady. Please be careful when booking a trip and staying with family. Do not carry or wear any expensive stuff if you stay in this area.

Nice reception and breakfast room. Quiet rooms. Nice bathroom. Was the best presented business in an otherwise tired looking and bit noisy area .

A pleasant boutique hotel in the Square de l’Aviation, located just ten minutes from Brussels Midi (Brussels Zuid) railway station; the Urban Yard hotel is handy for day trips by rail. Sadly, the hotel is let down by its wider surroundings which are litter-strewn. If walking from Brussels Midi station leave by the Place Victor Hortaplein and not by Avenue Fonsny. Both will get you to the hotel but Avenue Fonsny / Place de la Constitution is an unpleasant route taking you past major construction works for the new metro station on the R20 inner ring road. As others have indicated, the area might feel unsafe for solo female travellers or those out late at night. Our room was quiet, as requested, and faced in towards the hotel courtyard. The room had efficient a/c. The staff were happy to change our room after we expressed disappointment with the limited hot water in our first room. The hotel’s courtyard garden needs maintenance. There are several restaurants and cafes nearby.
